Just checked the Apple Store’s in Atlanta. No Ultra’s available for pickup with “trail loop”….but this one is available. I’m guessing the trail loop will be the most popular band…just a hunch!Does anyone think they will have any ultra watches with the trail band in stores this Friday to purchase?

Right? It's just velcro. I do kind of like the black band, until I had to dig and find the back of it has a bright orange pull tab on it which I wasn't a fan of. All of the other trail loops pull tabs match the band color. I got the alpine loop, only concern is if going from one "hole" to the next will be too much of a jump (ie one is too loose but the next is too tight). Will find out soon. Why does everyone want the trail loop ?

Still processing for meDid anyone get a ready-for-pickup email for 10 am yet? I got one for my band, but the watch is still "processing."
I can't speak for "everyone," just me.
1. My sport is running. The rubber bands get hot and gross feeling when you start sweating. The Alpine loop band would add to "drag" with all the holes, it's not really ideal for running. Plus you can't really get that perfect fit like you can w/ a velcro enclosure. So many times bands with set spacing closures fit either too tight or too loose. Neither are a great feeling when your arms are constantly going up and down when running.
2. The trail loop band is ultra thin so it doesn't get in the way and most likely the most comfortable -- like the Sport Loop band.
3. The trail loop band has the added benefit of not adding visual bulk to the watch since it's so thing. The Ocean band is chunky and the Alpine loop has the loops that visually make sub 7" wrists even slimmer.
Of course, Apple made all 3 band types to support 3 different priority uses. If I was a diver or mountain climber my choice might have been different. And if I was buying not for sport, but fashion, then it wouldn't matter and I'd probably use a regular AW sport band.
Got in store pickup for starlight alpine tomorrow AM. I could have gotten it today but work is keeping me too busy to get to the store before they close tonight.

Are Apple stores opening early for people to pick up their Apple Watches today? I'm impartient! I have a watch Ultra arriving via UPS today, but I have to be in the office for work (for an all-company meeting), so I can't be home to sign for it. I would be fine canceling that and re-ordering for in-store pickup, but the Apple Store near me doesen't open until 10:30am, by which point I will be mid-meeeting.
I could tell UPS to hold it at a nearby UPS Store, but then I won'r get the watch until tomorrow, and as I said, I'm impatient.
I was just in store picking up and they confirmed they got zero trail band‘I doubt they will have many with a Trail band as they have been back ordered from almost the very beginning. Having you heart set on a Trail band will severely harm you chances to get a new Ultra soon.
Yeah, I picked up a green alpine a bit ago, and they are entirely out of trail bands, both with watches and separately. Glad I switched just to get my foot in the game -- will probably seek out a trail band when they become available. The alpine is excellent, but I do like the stretchy, minimalistic ease of the sport bands and what this trail loop appears to be.I was just in store picking up and they confirmed they got zero trail band
