Good one MR! Was thisclose to getting an AW7 with the larger screen from my AW5. This clinches my wait until next year.
It'd be nice to have a 5G on an Apple Watch but it's kinda of overkill for such a small device. Plus, it uses more battery, right? My main question is, does this year's apples watch support T-Mobile's LTE/5G band 71. Cause that's a big hit for T-Mobile users. IDK why apple has yet to have this band, been waiting on it since S4.
"Tricked" into leaving the screen always on?But they are probably negligible for folks who have been tricked into leaving the screen always on.
I sold my S3 about a year ago and am glad I waited until now, excited to get my Ultra in a few weeksI upgraded from a series 3 and now I wish I had waited another year..
This is not true nor provable. It’s more likely R&D and factory site closures across China is the cause. We’re seeing this across many industries with production bases in China. Example… Chips for the new car market. It’s not the work from home causing the delays. It’s lockdowns across China. That will not be changing in the near future. You have before your eyes the consequences of teams working from home. All innovations slowed down bigly at Apple's, hence the execs pushing for returning to a normal office workplace.
Ultra will prolly always stay silver. Putting a color on it makes it show scratches easierYikes. The last few years have not provided me with any desire to upgrade my Watch. I'm almost in love with, and really want the Watch Ultra, but cant move myself to buy it in a color-way I don't like. Hopefully next year they will expand that to include a black/space grey/space black or whatever they call it. I feel like the Ultra is a way to get people prepared for a small visual redesign and upgrade to the non-Ultra lines. So maybe, just maybe, the Watch 9 will have upgraded chips, small redesign and battery. 🤔
I feel the S4 and the S7 are indeed the best models for multi-generation upgradesHappy with my route of S0 -> S2 -> S4 ->S7.
And happy to stay on the S7 for another year.
They should be able to increase the display size. Apple’s loss if they don’t.We probably won't see any more significant changes to the Apple Watch. It may get more health-related sensors, and enhancements to Bluetooth, etc. if it shifts to a 3nm process. But it appears to have reached the limit of what's possible on such a small device. It's a bit like where the iPod was in 2008, except that the "next big thing" that replaces it hasn't yet been released.
I went S0 -> S4 -> S7, but that new Ultra is tempting, but a bit hard on the budget at $799. I will buy the Ultra 2 next year unless I see a crazy good deal before then. I find I use the Apple Watch for a lot more with the bigger screen on the 7. I'm sure the Ultra would be even better. I love a big watch.Happy with my route of S0 -> S2 -> S4 ->S7.
And happy to stay on the S7 for another year.
I canceled my S8 preorder, preordered a little too fast. The S4 is still really fast, I think even a bit faster with the new OS (or is it that just me imagining it?).Hanging on to my Series 4 for another year. Still just as fast as the day I bought it even with watchOS 9 beta
Don’t they give you two weeks to send it back?
