Time to kill the Apple Watch. It has not caught on, and has had several years to do so. It is an extremely niche product, that makes Apple PENNIES, even less the their Mac lineup nowadays.

Concentrate on fixing iOS and some fresh, new design and stop wasting resources on a product that isn't growing.

I mean the iPhone took a few years to become extremely popular. Verizon and Sprint customers couldnt even buy one til the 4. The watch is 2 years old... And besides, apple makes like 87% profit with these things, it's crazy.

Um actually Steve jobs was approached by the creator of Pixar and they together funded it's start. Jobs was FULLY involved by the creating Pixar.

The newly independent Pixar was headed by Edwin Catmull as President and Alvy Ray Smith as Executive Vice President. While looking for investors, Steve Jobs was interested, but Lucas found his offer too low. Yet he accepted it in the end after it turned out to be impossible to find other investors. Jobs, who had recently been fired from Apple Computer,[2] paid $5 million to George Lucas for technology rights and put them and $5 million cash as capital into the company, and joined the board of directors as chairman.[2]

Yes, Steve Jobs was involved financially as soon as Pixar was spun off as an independent company. And obviously was the driver from transitioning Pixar from a technology / SFX company to what the animation studio it became. It's splitting hairs to ask if Steve Jobs "created" Pixar. Once he bought it, it was his company and his vision that drove it.

Troll factor over 9000. Yes, let's kill the highly profitable accessory that has replaced my wallet completely as well as made me as fit as an athlete. Great idea.

Not really, you have the person who was a founder and did create Pixar saying Jobs had nothing to do with the creation of Pixar.

Steve Jobs did not create or have anything to do with the creation of Pixar. It's really that simple.

I don't get why they are doing this. Its not a kids product. There are so many other things they could be doing around watch faces that the masses would see more value in. I tried the Mickey face back when I got the watch to just see what it did, and then promptly switched back to something that was more practical. If they would produce a watch face developer kid and store; that would solve the problem. Not sure why they are being stubborn on this point.

This. Apple is missing a huge market by not allowing third party faces.

Not to mention just plain being ridiculous control freaks and limiting our choices.

This is one area where Android watches shine. There are literally thousands of Android watch faces, many interactive, and even clones of the Apple ones. E.g. here's my LG-R and Moto watches back in April 2015, shortly after Apple brought out theirs:

During Apple's WWDC keynote this year the company debuted new features coming in watchOS 4, some of which include fresh watch faces for Apple Watch. Following in the footsteps of the animated Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse faces, watchOS 4 is gaining new Disney characters for Apple Watch wearers in the form of Jessie, Woody, Buzz Lightyear, and more from Toy Story.

The Toy Story characters weren't available in the first developer beta of watchOS 4, but with yesterday's launch of beta 2 for the Apple Watch software all of the characters have appeared as watch face options. These include multiple poses and animations of Jessie, Bullseye, Buzz, Woody, Hamm, Rex, and the Pizza Planet aliens.

While the watch faces are animated when the Apple Watch is raised, similar to Mickey and Minnie, as of now they don't speak when tapped upon. Two complications are available for the Toy Story watch face, one above the time in the top right hand corner, and another at the very bottom of the face. The color for these complications changes automatically to match the character on screen and can't be customized.

In the Watch app on iPhone users can choose from Buzz Lightyear, Woody, or Jessie, and after that the Apple Watch will depict a new animation for that character every time the user raises their wrist. For anyone who wants to completely randomize which character and animation they'll get when they check their Apple Watch, a "Toy Box" option is also accessible. Specific faces for any other character -- like Rex or Hamm -- are not available as of watchOS 4 beta 2, and the only way to see these characters is by choosing Toy Box.
