I've got to say, I flat out refused to buy an ipod till they offered them in black, wouldn't buy a macbook till the Blackbook.. and didn't buy my imac till they went aluminum.
The white always has, and always will look like a cheap toy for kids, not a professional tool.

That's honestly sooner than I was expecting.
The fact that they hadn't said anything until now was making me think it was gonna be September or something like that!

I am sure this press release wont stop people from calling Apple and asking if they will have white iphones for tomorrow.

Will the White iPhone 4 only be available in 32gb? I personally only want to spend $199 and will just order the black one today if there isn't a white 16gb option.
And how would the colour make a difference?
They can still only make the same number of phones, black or white.
Making 100% black, or 50% black / 50% white, or 90% black / 10% white, it is still the same number of phones made and available to sell.
Definitely sooner then I expected. I was resigned to waiting until August or September for white iPhone4.
I wonder if they will have white phones to play with at the Apple store or Best Buy as demos.
I just want to play with both kinds before I make a decision...

Thank you Apple for finally saying SOMETHING. Sorry all you white lovers. I was thinking about the white one initially, but decided to go with the black. But at least now we know when to expect it. It took them long enough to say something though. 
Well, if it does, who cares, really? Apple has been pretty good over the years in repairing/replacing hardware.

Well to be honest I was one of those crazy folks hoping for a few of the whites to be available on launch day... However, the fact that they made a statement saying they will be available in the second half of july is actually good news compared to the late august/ september thoughts that were going around. I think I will actually wait for a white one now, knowing itll only be 3-4 weeks away.
Would have been nice to know a few weeks ago. Maybe they were trying really hard to have them release day?
