But alas - I'm skipping the iPhone 4 because I have a 3GS and I'm not made of money.![]()
I'm imagining it more like the Magic Mouse or DS Lite, but with glass instead of plastic to make it even better, and neither of which become discolored at all.I wonder if it changes to an icky yellow/brown colour after a little use like the first generation white MacBooks did?
Get one of each!
Sincerely,
AAPL shareholder
Yeah, that's likely true but the white iPhones are only going to be as "white" as the lighting allows.. The black is just... black.
I agree that the cost is not something to be taken lightly, no matter what your personal financial situation. However, if a new contract isn't an issue to you, and you are eligible for an upgrade, you should be able to sell your 3gs on Craigslist for more than the 4 will cost. That made it an easy decision for me.
more challenging to manufacturer?
I wonder why?
whats with the screwed up apple logo on the back?
The white phone has that grill at the top that is absent in the black iPhone.
Plus they wannt all the losers to get the black and the V.I.P's to get White.
Could be anything, it's possible that the white turned out a funny color or something while the black was fine. Could be that the white was planned for a separate factory or production line that had an issue. Or it could be that they can get more made fast by just doing one color to start.
dude, why is every post from you about you being an apple shareholder? seriously, how many shares of stock do you own? you act like you're some big baller........ohhh.....you have a few shares of stock that, when cashed in, will prob net you a couple thousand. wow, big deal.
I've got to say, I flat out refused to buy an ipod till they offered them in black, wouldn't buy a macbook till the Blackbook.. and didn't buy my imac till they went aluminum.
The white always has, and always will look like a cheap toy for kids, not a professional tool.
I miss the old apple that wouldn't explain anything. Steve's gone soft.
I wonder what makes it more challenging to manufacture?
Well said. But there are also those hit by this recession or another ill fortune, and their finances shouldn't be ridiculed. I respect a person who says that they cannot afford something. That's humble and may make another person think a bit before spending.
Agreed. I got the white iPhone 3GS because I thought it was a very attractive piece of hardware. I won't be getting the white iPhone 4 because I like the appearance of the black one more, but I would have liked to see the white one anyway. The sad thing here are the people who won't buy a white one because they're afraid of what society might label them as. I believe the technical term for them is 'tools'.Cheap toy for kids?? As a home theater and all things Apple geek, you're off on this one. I know it's not just me. I'm soooo tired of every single piece of electronic equipment being thoughtless, black. TV's, receivers. laptops, phones, etc.
