Good question. I’d guess that there would be a disclaimer when switching away from Siri that you’re agreeing to the third party terms and conditions, which are likely less privacy-focused.
it will be a day 1 change for me.
Right now, linking Siri to ChatGPT through Shortcuts feels like holding things together with duct tape. It works, but it’s hardly sustainable. This update will make life a lot easier.

Not all Siri queries are web searches. Siri draws information from weather, maps, local network, nearby devices, etc.
You are eligible for compensation for Apple unknowingly recording customers having sex and secretly playing the recordings to third party contractors.
Greater choice empowers greater freedom.
I think a Grok Vocal (vGrok) would be the best.
Also greater security risks.
IF Apple could just make Siri not suck, that would solve most problems.

Can’t these under regulated US Americans not just enjoy their ‘freedom’ and let European states determine what is best for their own citizens and markets?
Maybe Apple should allow to removing iOS from iPhone in EU. Maximal freedom — anyone can then install whatever they want on it.
It would likely be quite useless, but could finally satisfy the endless legal jungle.

It would, however, not solve the legal jungle, because iOS would still be widely used, and together with Android hold significant market power.

Siri is pretty good at opening Google Assistant for me.
Yeah... I use it everyday, multiple times per day. Always works great. I have no reason to go with anything else.
Most US user here probably aren't even aware that a lot of European users don't have the possibility of using Siri.
I for one welcome the possibility of having an assistant in my native language.
If Apple doesn't want to provide it then... Well let's see what Google has to offer.
