I don't wish to sound overly negative, but I hope Apple spends as little as possible on Siri or abandons it. It's hopeless. Voice is a dead-end that will only ever be useful for the blind. It's one of the big minuses of the Apple Watch, along with no GPS and a reliance on Bluetooth. I feel the same about Handoff.

What I would like is for Apple to stop my iPad Air 2 and iPhone 5 from rebooting daily and to fix the myriad bugs that should have been fixed years ago. Bring a proper sepia mode to both Yosemite and iOS, allow font sizes to be increased universally—especially on the App Store, the Mac App Store, the iTunes Store and iBooks; those app descriptions are tiny. Allow more than five photos for app descriptions. Allow more than 30 seconds for previews. Increase tv show previews to 90 seconds. Bring split screen to the iPad. Bring proper file management to iOS. Bring PDF to print to iOS.

The 13" iPad should be turning the iPad into a true post-PC replacement. Make it happen, Apple. You should have done it three years ago, but Steve Jobs died. Excuse accepted, but get on with it. Cook has obviously not been kicking your butt.

Would be nice if the aTV could have an IR sender that would control my cable box and TV. Then I could get rid of that moronic remote Samsung makes and Time Warner requires.

I'd love for everyone to pick up the use of RF so things can be neatly tucked away without line-of-sight required. I love having my cable box in a closet in another room.

Find my watch is tough, because there's no watch connectivity except for the phone. Sometimes you want your watch to be away from your phone, sometimes you don't. You don't want your watch to scream if your phone goes away, because what happens when you're at the gym and leave your phone in your locker? What happens if you accidentally leave your phone at home? What happens if you accidentally leave your watch at home?

At a minimum, it should bind to your phone and iTunes account and not be re-attachable unless phone access or iTunes account is validated. Your device and itunes account are essentially two keys that Apple can validate, the device being a hardware key and iTunes being a software key.

I guess i will wait on iWatch 2. As much as I want one for no good real reason, waiting until next year will allow all you beta testers to deal with the 1st gen issues and apps. You guys are awesome!

My sentiments exactly.

Huh. As someone who keeps their phone charging on the other end of the bedroom at night to improve sleep, having Siri is very useful for checking the time, changing alarms, checking sports scores, ect.

I sure hope they give us some control over how the channel line up is displayed so we can either delete, heaven forbid!, or at least hide the ones we don't want on the main selection screen.

That's the way Apple made it. It's the right way and the only way and you are going to like it.

I'm looking forward to seeing what will be new with the Apple TV. The feature I want to see more than anything, is a refresh rate higher than 60mhz. My TV has 240mhz, and I would like to be able to watch my movies through itunes at that rate, or at the very least, 120mhz.

Does anybody else find the term "complications" to be a poor word choice to describe a feature? Seems like it conveys an unwanted message.

While I share your frustrations with Siri and WiFi/Bluetooh (discoveryd service), you are assuming "throwing more monkeys at the problem" can actually solve the problems quicker.

What I mean to say is, Apple has enough people to solve your frustrations while improving other features and adding new features. So it's really the matter of prioritization and whether Apple can pull in right people to solve these problems (it certainly has the talents and money to do it, but they seem preoccupied with other things).

Going back to Sir, Apple cannot afford to not improve it. It must as voice input is becoming an important form of user interface (it certainly works a lot better with Google Now).

And Handoff is the underpinning of Apple Watch and iPhone and it will become even more important as time goes on. Apple cannot afford not to fix them.

Happy to oblige. We get to enjoy a kickass smart watch and fitness tracker for a year longer than the rest of you, then happily trade it in for the new one.

I can't believe this was upvoted. The last thing Apple should do is abandon investment in Siri and technologies like Handoff. Voice isn't dead. In fact Microsoft is making huge investments in Cortana and wants it everywhere. IMO Apple's problem is they haven't improved Siri fast enough and spent too much time on silly things like having Siri bring back cutsy/smart alec responses to queries. Apple needs to get better at push and predictive. The Watch will force them to do that as its strengths are in push, not pull, not go launch an app for everything you want to do.

The part in bold is right on track.
The poster and the upvoters are apparently not in the loop, as your further points clearly outline.

Will Find My Watch work on the watch I ordered over a month ago that still isn't here yet?

;)

yes it will. I used it last week and low and behold, my watch apeared on Friday. Rocking my watch and loving it!

(just trying not to think about how in debt I am right now :D)

Should this be true, I hope that the "Find My Watch"-type features are supported by the v1 editions.

I know there's disagreement among forum members on this point, but security features seem like a glaring omission to me.

Other smart watches and regular watches that cost 3 or more times the price of the Edition model don't have security. So why would you think Apple watch needs it?

It better happen because Apple is getting the pants beat off it with competitors in the TV area.

really, pants beat off it? how so? seems to me the other devices are just catching up with ATV, all these years later. plus they can't stream my iTunes TV content, which is a negative for us (our purchased content comes from iTunes, not Amazon)

Using a watch to control my TV.

That's genius! .......geniusly stupid, that is. But at least it would be better than the remote we have now.

clearly, you haven't tried it and likely don't own a watch. it's actually convenient and easy.

It can work just like Tile, merely reporting the last known location of an Apple Watch and allowing you to play a sound remotely when it is within range.

Since when has Apple not tried to be better than the rest? Sorry, but Apple doesn't exactly have a track record of caring what other people do.

Not to those who know what 'complication' stands for on mechanical watches. And not for those that don't know it but then just look it up. Of course, for those that don't know it and don't look it up ...

I sure hope they give us some control over how the channel line up is displayed so we can either delete, heaven forbid!, or at least hide the ones we don't want on the main selection screen.

The current Apple TV already lets you rearrange or hide any unwanted channels.

What we really need is to kill the concept of channels from a UI perspective. We should be able to browse or search for shows from a centralized location without having to trudge separately through each channel's list of garbage.

youll just be beta testing for v3. meanwhile, I'll have gotten an entire year or two of value from mine.

There are features a product needs to be competitive and there are features that make a product better than the competition.

One can also argue that people who have never worn 'expensive' watches (eg, $500+) but own $500+ smartphones, simply expect expensive products to come with some sort of theft protection if technologically possible.

Why would Apple implement a service that tells you: "You can rent this movie for $5 from us or get it for free from our competitor Netflix."?

The only thing that can happen is a third-party app that let's you search for content and then lists all possible options.
