Not even close, people forget about the launch of the 3G and 6/6+.Easily the most bug ridden iPhone Apple has ever released.

Yeah, I’m curious myself. I had a 15” Sony FW laptop which did something similar to this with multiple lines showing up on the screen when it first booted (not long after I purchased it), but it never happened again. It only happened once and that was in 2009. I never had a issue like that with any of my iPhones.Wonder how software can cause this!
If it were a hardware issue, it would probably be on the screen all the time, not just when booting. The fact that it only displays while the OS is loading sounds like it could be nothing but a software issue. It would probably be a very low level bit of code, but it would be an issue with the code.probably like the Green tint OLED issues were a “software issue”
LOL. I meant 14 of course. 😅Apple hasn't found a fix for this 10 generations later?![]()
The most likely cause would be something related to memory self test on boot. Another possibility would be, part of the code that boots the phone getting loaded into video RAM. I find this unlikely because, you would expect to see random noise, not lines. One other possibility would be, the code that zeros out the video RAM on boot has some kind of flaw and it misses a specific bit for some reason. (Instead of writing 8 zeros to each byte, for some reason it writes something like 01000000.) The real question is, why does it do so on some phones, but not others. It could be a combination of parts that go into the phone. (If this part from this manufacturer goes in with that part from that manufacturer, then you get the lines.) It could be something account specific. If you erased the phone, then set it up with the same account, you might see the lines, but if you set it up with a different account, not so much.Yeah, I’m curious myself. I get so tired of non time travelers thinking the universe spins around them. Just because they have not seen the iS24, they think it will never be made. (I think the idea of an iSmelaphone was perhaps the dumbest idea ever. Yes, you can be taking to a person in a stinking room. You should not be forced to smell the same thing.)LOL. I meant 14 of course. 😅

What is the mess of 14 Pro? I don't see anything wrong hardware-wise ... it's just the iOS, but that's obvious why... because most of the team is focused on the RealityOS.I haven't forgot, I owned both of them and the 14 Pro is Apple's 34th version of an iPhone. You'd think at this point they'd have it down but nope. Don't get me wrong, I own a 14 Pro Max and its fine, but the 13 was waaaaay less of a mess than this phone has been.
Just a reminder of my post the first time this issue was reported: Not to worry … these lines are the waves washing ashore the Dynamic island 🏝️😊
Apple has acknowledged that iPhone 14 Pro Max users may see flashing horizontal lines on their display when the device is being turned on.
Last month, MacRumors reported that a growing number of iPhone 14 Pro customers described seeing green and yellow horizontal lines flash on their iPhone display when the device is being turned on. The exact details at the time, including whether or not Apple was looking into the issue or whether it was a hardware or software problem, were unknown.
Now, in a new memo, Apple has acknowledged the issue and put at ease concerns it stems from a hardware defect, confirming it's being investigated and an iOS update to address it will be released soon. iPhone 14 Pro customers may "report that when they power on or unlock their phone, they briefly see horizontal lines flash across the screen," the memo seen by MacRumors says. "Apple is aware of the issue and a software update is coming soon that will resolve the issue," the memo adds.
iOS 16.3 is currently undergoing testing with developers and members of the public beta program, but that update is not expected to launch for at least several more weeks. More imminently, Apple could release iOS 16.2.1, following the release of iOS 16.2 last month, to address this and other bugs being experienced by users.

Apple should take down their action mode ad then. This probably happened AFTER the camera violently shaked.
Almost as good as when Apple created an app just to distribute bumpers to affected iPhone 4 users, then came out with multiple colors and sold them for $29 a piece.UPDATE FROM APPLE SUPPORT
Customers experiencing issues with flashing lines on the screen when booting an iPhone 14 Pro should follow the following procedure to resolve the issue:
1. Press and hold the power button for 2 seconds to turn the iPhone on
2. Close eyes
3. Count to 20
4. Open eyes
Should this not fully resolve the issue, Apple Support will be supplying a hardware fix. Users who continue to experience this issue should make an Apple Store appointment or contact Apple Support to request an "iBlindfold", a new product developed by Apple engineering. iBlindfold will initially be exclusive to iPhone 14 Pro owners at a discounted price of $9.99, but will soon be available to anyone at the regular price of $29.99.
iBlindfold is also being recommended for those users experiencing graphical glitches and poor UX design in macOS 13.
Ohh man! Call the Jailbreak police 😬How many are using hacks? That is known to cause issues like this.
Apple wouldn’t issue a response like this if it was due to “hacks” or jailbreaking. Remember, the number 1 rule at Apple is maintain secrecy above all else. How many are using hacks? That is known to cause issues like this.
indeed, that's not to say those experiencing such problems are not using hacks.Apple wouldn’t issue a response like this if it was due to “hacks” or jailbreaking. Remember, the number 1 rule at Apple is maintain secrecy above all else.
LOL if it's causing the issue.Down thru the years been like this. People using hacks and then saying this is an issue with the IOS. Nothing new here. just a thoughtOhh man! Call the Jailbreak police 😬
I don’t know, I read that one iPhone shipped without a working copy paste! Talk about buggy. It absolutely is. Granted they’ve fixed most of them but at launch this phone was a dumpster fire.
