iOS Mail is better, IMHO

Mail is the app they should have ported to OS X not iWork. Mail on iOS works much better for me. I am still using ML.

I have a few Mail issues but nothing like this thread.

Still unfixed.

Slow mail is STILL A PROBLEM.

Mavericks is worse than when I was on Windows XP. I'm slowly getting towards being done with Apple.

How do I get back to Mountain Lion?

Too late for a fix. Already switched to the best mail client I've ever tried. I'm enjoying Airmail now with no problems, and it's so clean and nice to use!

I just went ahead, spent the two bucks and got Airmail.

Best two bucks I've spent in a while...

Glad you like it, but I hate any mail app that forces me into a three column layout or compresses conversations into a flat list that makes it harder to figure out who is replying to exactly which message.

Not Maverick: Mail Version 7.2

My problem's not from Maverick; All my Mail problems started on March 2, 2014 when Mail switched from V 7.1 to V 7.2. Mail doesn't come trough. I was told byn Cox to delete all accounts and then add them again. This changed several settings and now I still have to manually "Take All Accounts Off Line" then "Get All Mail".
In "Preferences" "Advanced" there was a choice "Remove from server when marked read" which is not there any more. If I delete locally I still have to go Cox webmail.com and delete, which Deletes it from Server & Mail, unless I have moved the letter to a folder to save, then it is only removed from server.
I have been using this email address for 16 years and have it registered with dozens of sights. Changing mail servers would take hours to update every site.
Is there any way to go back to Mail Version 7.1 or can anyone help?

I share that same frustration.. what I really *want* is for Mail 7.2 to "just work" with GMail like it used to.

But right now I'm just glad to have a working mail client.

It's the rules!!

The only problem I have with Mail.app in Mavericks is that the rules have stopped working! Even new ones I set up fail. That is a total pain in the rump.
