It is a sales platform. Developers would be out of business if it wasn’t.my phone should not be a sales platform. apple's greed is out of control.

this is your exact message its not Apple fault its Amazon's choice, the same choice that they applied to Android, so i see no change what so ever happening.not to mention being able to buy kindle books from my kindle app.. preventing this has always been one of apple's scummiest moves.

It’s also how the Xbox and PlayStation stores work. We never hear anyone challenge Sony and Microsoft’s dominant built in store.
so amazon is indeed the one that does now allow it, nothing to do with apple's side at all thanks for confirming that
I suspect Porsche would sell a lot more cars if they didn’t cost any money. If Apple didn’t charge 30% (or even 15%) I suspect Amazon would allow. I would have to research but I remember a lot of angst and discussion back and forth on Kindle 30% and iBooks nada.

Actually that's a good idea. Amazon should sell the books for nothing then they won't need to pay any commission.
If it’s a crappy little book store then there’s no issue.ridiculous analogy.. we all know the reason is that apple is greedy and trying to prop up their crappy little book store..

Good job they aren’t then.it they are blocking competition, there is.
because people have the option to purchase and install outside of it.

But don't Sony and Microsoft still get a commission fee even if we buy games at GameStop or Walmart?
🤔
I buy all of my games used from Ebay... so they don't get diddly from me.
Weird flex... but ok...![]()
you said "we" so I thought you meant you and me... I just answered for me.
and how is that weird? saving loads of $$ is fun.
again they enforce their choice on Android so no it won't make any differenceIf Apple didn’t charge 30% (or even 15%) I suspect Amazon would allow. I would have to research but I remember a lot of angst and discussion back and forth on Kindle 30% and iBooks nada.

I am pretty sure these companies still earn a cut even on physical copies of games sold? It’s not like anybody can just 3D-print a few Nintendo switch cartridges in their basement and sell it on Amazon and expect to keep 100% of earnings.
For Apple's App Store, if you want to, you can also log in to the Store with your account that bought the app, install it in which ever device you want, and log out. Apple will get nothing from you, and neither will the app's developer. And guess what, there's no need to physically travel to any store.I buy all of my games used from ebay.. so they don't get diddly from me.
If you are so against Apple's business model, makes me wonder why you are still using? Apple's devices.

They don't get anything from used eBay sales..
