One more thing (tm) 🤭

I texted the Apple support line and got this response. Hopefully it will prevent certain individuals from getting a hernia from trying to apologize for Apple 😜

This is what I would expect with Express Replacement. 3-5 business days at most:

That’s reasonable. Hardly ”express“ but reasonable. If you don’t like the T&C, don’t buy the offering given you have 30 days after you buy the phone to purchase AppleCare.

Off topic but this reminds me of when I dropped my gold ZTE Axon 7 and the screen went black with green pixels and it had a 2 year North American warranty. I contacted ZTE Canada and they offered me a replacement but they were out of the gold colour, so they gave me the option to get a silver colour instead. I took it and they sent it at no cost! That’s real customer service!
Too bad the sanctions have limited ZTE’s access to North American markets.
ZTE phones are still available in Canada but all they sell are really low end phones.

who?

Hey Genius what do you think EPRESS replacement means? Wait 2 months?

Hey, Genius here. Well, I don't know what EPRESS means! But "Express" is described by Apple as:
Express Replacement Service is a benefit of AppleCare+ for iPhone. With Express Replacement Service, we’ll ship you a replacement device so you don’t have to wait for a repair.

The full Terms and Conditions are here.

It says "If you want to minimize the amount of time..."

It does not say anything about the turnaround time.

But its not in the metadata!
You seem confused...

Recieved my iphone 16 plus- on oct 8 my iphone slipped out of my pocket while on my harley- opened express replacement on line as when i went to store - no replacements in stock. So have not recieved express replacement yet, and today they tell me another 8-14 days - lol.
I was willing to get a black replacement instead of my blue but apple will not do as you have to swap same for same .
I have used applecare + before and always recieved in 3 days or less.
This is a joke and applecare+ is now a joke - apple has certainly deteriorated as a company and i have had every iphone since 2007.
Well i guess it is a sign to get out of and escape the apple hamster wheel .

You want a phone that’s on back order, of course it’s going to take some time to get. Normally it’s same day if they have the device in stock, if they don’t then you have to wait. I’ve had to deal with it both ways before.

You said Apple Care is now a joke and it’s time to get off the hamster wheel. If you don’t like the service and don’t want to wait, then backup your words with actions. Either you meant what you said or you just created a thread with a lot of words you didn’t mean.
So?

I filed an express replacement for my 16 Pro Max last night around 6pm (Sunday.) By 11am this morning I had a FedEx tracking number for delivery Tuesday before 1pm.

So that seems pretty express to me?

Maybe it depends where you live and if you are in a city or something

lol just looked at OPs history. They’ve been on here since 2017 talking **** on Apple and going on about how they are a deteriorating company and they repeatedly call people “APPLEHEADS!” and yet here they are 7 years later still buying iPhones and bragging that they’ve bought every apple product since 2007 (sure sounds like an applehead to me).

Odd. Never had an issue with express replacement, EVER. And I’ve had phones, iPads and watches replaced. In total probably about 15 devices over the years back to the iPad Mini days. If I’ve called before 2pm in the UK I’ve normally had the replacement arrive the next day. I just call or chat, explain the issue and request an express replacement. They then literally just process it and ask no further questions. Fantastic service.

Or if you treat the apple staff with respect and not act like an entitled bed-wetter

I see they’ve been suspended but nothing in their post history to indicate why. Curious.

Attitude may play a factor as well. I’m sure every representative he dealt with, he reverberated respect and kindness throughout the process. Ya know, just like how he acts on this thread 🙄
