Recieved my iphone 16 plus- on oct 8 my iphone slipped out of my pocket while on my harley- opened express replacement on line as when i went to store - no replacements in stock. So have not recieved express replacement yet, and today they tell me another 8-14 days - lol.
I was willing to get a black replacement instead of my blue but apple will not do as you have to swap same for same .
I have used applecare + before and always recieved in 3 days or less.
This is a joke and applecare+ is now a joke - apple has certainly deteriorated as a company and i have had every iphone since 2007.
Well i guess it is a sign to get out of and escape the apple hamster wheel .

The phone is very new. Not excusing Apple as they could easily (and should) replace it with a new unit out of a retail box, but it’s normal within the first few weeks they take longer to replace it than they will soon.
This is the only explanation that makes sense. I had my iPhone 14 replaced the same day. Maybe it’s time to step off the Apple hamster wheel and try Samsung? Let me know how their express replacement goes. If it’s anything like what my friend had to go through, you’ll be back to the Apple hamster wheel.

As i said have used several times
Never like this
First negative applecare + experiance in yrs

Express Replacement is a contractual obligation as part of AppleCare+

Apple needs to be able fulfill their obligations, and customers should expect to get what they pay for. If they can’t, then they need to refine their supply chain processes. It’s not ok to stiff customers because they are more concerned with net new sales than with service.

Yes cracked front and back - so will wait - store said unrepairable - scuffed bad thus express replacement
I would call Apple Support. Since they have a process called Advance Exchange where they send you the replacement and THEN you send back yours. They do put a hold on your card though. I can guarantee that will be quicker then waiting on a store.

Funny. I just was typing that as you were posting.

yesterday i learned that apple is not involved in theft and loss coverage.

i was told i could not be quoted for device replacement if lost or stolen, i would need to contact AIG insurance
Yes they farm out - i do not take theft - just get applecare + which was always good before but now question if i will ever get again - after this screw story

If you buy Apple care + with loss coverage then you can loss phone replace up to 2 times a year with a down payment.
I never get any apple care until I have my kids slam my iphones on the window... Get it the next day replaced and go on my way.

People need to taste some reality with samsung and other companies…, specially in my country it’s horrible, from start to finish. 8-14 days is nothing after a phone launch.

Apple definitely does not have the 2000s-2010s service but they still are among the best.

omg F that I thought replacement would be easier with Apple if an iPhone was stolen or lost under its warranty. Not jumping through insurance loops. Glad I got rid of that coverage while back

Did you check stock online for same config as there are four stores in Vegas? Perhaps it's more to a specific store that has difficulty with express replacements for a particular config/color. The blue iPhone 16 plus w/128GB no cell provider is in stock in all four of them. I normally config like I am going to buy then check local store stock.
