I miss the days when AppleCare+ cost $99
Yeah, 'budget' AppleCare or even better: 'customer focused' AppleCare ;-)
I miss the days when AppleCare+ cost $99
Same thing when people say imagine what A12 could do if it wasn't constricted by housing. Again it doesn't work like that.
Why?while repairs on the new 12-inch iPad Pro will cost $649....
Now, THAT is insane.
If you have $99 to spend, you have $129.That is some hilarious price increases for AppleCare, iPad Pro, Apple Pencil, Apple Smart Keyboard, Apple Dongles, Apple BTO options.
Yes, in Apples eyes, the “average” consumer or even pro-sumer has this much disposable income![]()
Louis Rossman is a tool.Thank god for places like iFixit and Louis Rossman. I wish more people knew about them
I pay more than the price of a entry-level 12.9" iPad Pro (2018) EVERY MONTH for Health Insurance, with a $6500 Deductible! And the likelihood of me seeing ANY of that back is so close to zero as to be indistiguishable...Let’s just be honest , these things are not meant to be repaired - that is not good for the environment though
I do find the environmental element of these keynotes to be hypocritical, given any damage results in a new device . The energy / resources wasted to refurb these / transport , is not what I would call a green solution .

You are happy to pay more for insurance? With a good chance you will never actually utilise any of its features ?
That's because Macs tend to stay viable a lot longer than other PCs. Plus, they didn't run around and shoot all new pictures; but rather used ones they had acquired through various means over the years.Funny thing is that most of them were using pre-2016 MBP.
Funny enough, i've never bought one for any of my apple products. Not even my macs. Its completely unnecessary to me.
I have the 2016 MBP that I bought used a year later from release. Never a single problem with it so far. I understand the point of insuring expensive devices, I just happened to never need it.I highly suggest it with the new Macs simply because of the keyboards. Nothing worse than a $500+ replacement outside of the warranty period.
Agreed. Your keyboard will die. Just a question of when.I highly suggest it with the new Macs simply because of the keyboards. Nothing worse than a $500+ replacement outside of the warranty period.
Nonsense. There is no evidence to support your claim.
However Apple's upgrade program is just one piece of damning evidence to support the otherwise widely accepted reality, that they do want you to upgrade as often a financially possible.

That is why they feel the need to make incremental and largely insignificant improvements to the iPhone every year. If they wanted to improve the environment, they would surely go to a bi-annual basis? Especially when we are at a point in hand held technology when those devices are generally faster these days, than the content it was originally designed to consume and that all products sold in the EU should be warranted to work for 2 years minimum.
If you have $99 to spend, you have $129.
Not sure what you even mean in that regard.I have $200 to spend, that does not mean I see value for the money, when there are other affordable options for less or free. People always seek for the easiest option, then complain about the price. Why complain a little work to compare wil save you lots.
Action not words. iOS 12 still runs well on 2GB of RAM and iPad Mini.
Prolonged device support, not complaining. This is the reason I like AAPL.
You make no sense and have not dealt with the facts that dispute your claim that Apple do not want people to upgrade every year.
