Wouldn’t they want the camera as a Bluetooth attachment. Not everyone would want one, so people would buy separately. This means it could work with the Apple TV HD and 4k.

this is either airtags or smart battery case along with winter color refresh for the silicone/leather/watch bands... maybe also the belkin magsafe dock.

A new Apple TV was listed in the iCloud website back in October when the iPhone 12s launched so hopefully this is it finally coming to fruition. I am wishing for a big update but I can see it only being a new processor, double the starting storage and maybe a U1 chip but thats it.

Of course my return period for the Apple TV refurb I just bought is up.

So it seems the consensus among the rumours on Twitter is that the new set will have an A12Z chip —will that be a noticeable difference compared to the current 4K model?

I just signed up for my free 3 month trial of Apple Arcade - haven’t noticed any lagging on games I’ve played so far.

How about some mfi products that work with fitness+ such as bikes etc to go with the launch of fitness+?

I would say that Apple's Intel products will only be press releases from now on and it might make sense to quietly release a 16" refresh away from a main Apple Silicon product launches but that will only surely give a clue as to what Apple themselves have to do to beat such a product in benchmarks when they come to release. I reckon Apple will be waiting on an AMD Big Navi 6x00 products before refreshing the 16" - even if that means Apple Silicon have a higher target to reach for graphics benchmarks in due course but at least it'll be credible when it does and not put up against a 2-3 generations old technology.

There could be a potential for two versions of AppleTV - a stripped down SE version to try and compete with the Fire Sticks of this world. Let's say A12 CPU and basic aluminium remote as per long standing rumours and there would be no issue with it just having 64 or 128Gb streaming for basic apps. They could afford to step the price right down to under $100 and in the current situation with the 2021 movie release slate looking to be going to streaming a refreshed unit could drive new sales.

A 'proper' mooted A14X model could come later at a higher price but right now I think Apple should not let the AppleTV slide prior to a very important year for home entertainment.

Twitter account @AlexEsperance seems to be suggesting a new Apple TV is coming. He called the December 8th date before the story broke on MacRumors, he's posted a cryptic picture of an Apple TV screensaver and suggests whatever comes this week will ship on Friday 11th.

Pinch of salt.

Sources at Apple are telling me new Mac Pro Wheels are coming — in Pacific Blue and Rose Gold. Price cut to $599.
nope. these will be sleds, cause it's christmas time.

yup, it better not be as i finally got my 3rd apple tv 4k (the previous 2 i got at launch in 2017) for a tv in my fitness room in preparation for fitness+... it burned me bad to spend $179 (well, i did get a $50 black friday gift card) on it when amazon has a 4K/HDR/Atmos firestick for like $27 last week...

I already have four ATV4ks in two homes. I wanted three more but know a new ATV has to be coming. I picked up 3 firestick 4ks for $29 each last week. They are pretty damn impressive and I don’t have to worry if they become obsolete at that price.

i mean the UI isn't as nice but otherwise once the video is playing they are utterly the same as the Apple 4K at like 1/8th the price... the one factor to me was the ability to use fitness+ and that's what caused me to pull the trigger on another one, but i'm really not happy at the price gouging at this point... apple is always more expensive but at this point with 3 year old hardware that is $199 vs. $27.99 i feel totally ripped off.

So, the remote is fine and if you don't like it use whatever you want
Oh, the remote is a legendary turd. Nobody in my family can even figure out how to go to the next song or pick up the remote during a playing video without making menus come up or the playhead skip around. And we're by no remote means the only ones rendered ham-handed and incapable by this masterclass in how not to design hardware.

If Apple doesn't fix this disaster of a remote in the next iteration of the Apple TV, after something is very wrong with their product development process.

Rumours are remote is staying the same lol
You were saying...
Almost every leaker has said that Apple is working on a new remote, and a new gaming controller.
Now the details of this new remote are unknown, but I highly doubt that it’s just Find My capability.
Apple knows that people don’t like their remote. That’s why am 2017, they updated it just to add a circle to one of the buttons, because they kept getting complaints about people not understanding which way it was supposed to be oriented.
They understand that the remote isn’t great, so I highly doubt that they’re going to update the horrible remote just to add Find My.

Works just fine in my household and most people I know.
