Does AppleCare replace my phone if I were to drop my phone in a puddle? Or perhaps break my screen by dropping it? Is AppleCare even worth it? Thanks! I've never bought it for any of my Apple products before

AppleCare for the iPhone allows you to replace "accidental" damage (water, cracked screen, etc.) twice. $50 charge each time though, I believe.

Thanks! I guess that not bad. $50 for a phone that would cost probably $500 out of contract. I've already ordered my iPhone 5, so is it possible to buy AppleCare separately and then register it to my 5?

Try $700+ after taxes

$4.13 a month for insurance is not bad even with the $50 deductible. Plus it gives you more tech access.

I wouldn't have gotten AppleCare in the past because it never had damage replacement, but it's now worth it to me.

I say this because we don't know yet what Apple is charging for a replacement phone. I believe it was $200 for the previous models.

Has anyone bothered to even try and ask Apple what the 5's replacement cost is?

Buy it and have peace of mind

I think it is worth a little over .13 cents a day for peace of mind. If you get it you won't need it, but if you don't get it, you will most likely need it. LOL

I got Apple Care + on my iPhone 5 64 gb.

It's for 2 years...so $2.06 a month
