I vomited in my mouth and swallowed it down...
I'd call that second part an over share.

Seems to be the solution for replacing the physical vibration and volume keys with software buttons (always on?) If the display also embeds Touch ID, then we would have a phone with just one hardware button and one port, reduced bottom bezel with probably halved top bezel and I am completely up for that.

I really doubt this rumor is going to become reality. It's an obvious ripoff of the S7 and would cause a firestorm of controversy. If this turns out to be true, I'll just get a Galaxy next time since Samsung would clearly be the industry leader at that point.

However, I think it's more likely Apple will try to pull off the edge to edge display concept--though by 2017 another manufacturer will likely beat them to it.

Anyone find it weird that Samsung has such a ridiculously similar product naming strategy?

Their flagship phones are S6, S7? Isn't that like the same as Apple's 6S, 7S? and yet Samsung puts their S7 out a year before Apple so they can be in the right? Shameless.

What functionality can the curved edges provide that will actually be useful?

I always ask the same question. Since I've never held one such device (like Galaxy S7 Edge), I've yet to find the reason for that.

And please, don't say "Do you see that rainbow shining when the phone rings while resting with its screen down? It's useful!!" ..... #not

I hate holding them. I think its uncomfortable. My buddy got one and was raving about it - "... and it has this special kind of glass". I explained to him that the glass is gorilla glass, everyone uses it thanks to iPhone 1, I don't like Android, and it's uncomfortable to hold.

Who are you casting as the one without shame here? And, assuming it's the usual, how would you reconcile that with the subject of this thread?
