I think we’re overthinking this especially with the current Apple hardware “geniuses”. It’s just going to be two Airs slapped together including the camera module.
Switching from iPad mini to folding phones makes sense since the unfolded size is comparable.I felt this exact same way till I bought my Samsung Z Fold7. Especially considering I really enjoy my iPad mini 7.
But like so many other thoughts I’ve had prior to actually owning a new piece of tech, I find both of them fill different needs.
Going forward I continue to enjoy them both.
Probably more like $2,000 and it's going to be repair nightmare if damaged! This thing is going to cost close to $1800 I bet.
Maybe sell legs? Cause this foldable would be near impossible to use with only one hand. /sDo any of you have any body parts left to sell? Because I know you will want this even if you have no use for it.
Or is it Alumanium?
$2000 for the base model. $8000 for a 2TB model. Apple finally adds SLC 2TB chips back to their iPhone lineup after so many years.Probably more like $2,000 and it's going to be repair nightmare if damaged!
240g being heavy just shows how weak most folks arms are at lifting stuff. Tbf I would not last long if I had to lift up 300g for more than just a few minutes but damn.Exactly. 240g is even heavy by today's standards. My Z Fold 7 weights 215g.
That's so dumb when it's been widely reported already that the Air is a byproduct of the folding iPhone development.I think we’re overthinking this especially with the current Apple hardware “geniuses”. It’s just going to be two Airs slapped together including the camera module.
Yeah, but it’ll get to a point where maybe that won’t be an issue. Removing the crease altogether would be perfect perfection. Then making it rug, it would be even far more attractive, especially with the possibility that it might be super expensive.Solves a problem that doesn't exist, 6+ years after the competition launched their folding phones.
Friends I have that had LG and Samsung foldables got them at extreme discount, and said they would never buy another foldable phone (crease in the screen that forms, grit and dirt that gets on the screens grinds in your pocket, etc)
I think he means the actual geniuses that work in the store which to be honest I’ve had my experience as well where they are not really a genius and the support that they provide it’s probably not super greatThat's so dumb when it's been widely reported already that the Air is a byproduct of the folding iPhone development.
And yes, Apple is excelling at hardware. No need for the quotation marks.
Right, but it won’t prove anything because anything is breakable, including the iPhone 6 plus which to be honest if you’re talking about the iPhone, it’s basically the same format. The only difference is that they made some hardware upgrades to it and set up a difference. Look for the camera, but essentially it’s the same thinnessLooking forward to the hinge bend-till-it breaks test from YouTube apl haters
I would say the same thing except I just don’t really like the fact that it still has the crease easily visible. Honestly, as Samsung finally releases a trifold that would be interesting and enough for me to move to it if crease is less visible. Otherwise, I would probably just wait for this fold to review and see.I so agree. I picked up a Z Fold and holy OMG. I mean, it's smaller than my 17 Pro Max, has a wicked screen, so functional... If it had iMessage/Photos/iCloud, I would not be on an iPhone right now...
If you actually go and hold one up next to an iPhone, it feels like Apple is stifling innovation. Crazy. IMO the iPhone Air could have been half as thin.
Or more likely a device that needs to be replaced every 3 years.get ready for a $2000 phone with a battery that needs to be replaced after 3 years
Well, they could just make it simple and just say it’s the Fold. Or the brand new iPhone and remove the traditional iPhone and transition it over to the air.I feel like iPhone Fold is not really a name that Apple would choose. Descriptive names are not really their thing. Considering they have just brought the strong Air branding over to iPhone, I‘m gonna throw in a wildcard:
Introducing, the „iPhone AIRIA“.
