So what you do if you dont like Apple, their practices, closed eco or any other reason is you dont buy any more of their products.
Move on instead of whining about it on an internet support forum cause you obviously know it wont make any difference.
But I guess some like you have nothing
better to do but stirr drama and negativity. It makes them feel great :)

Complaining how apple doing it's customers not for my own personal reasons.

Already bought the iphone we all make mistakes. At least mine is jailbroken. When contract up android baby

How many total class action suits does and did apple have against them over the years ? 10 or 12 already....lol sorry that doesn't happen by accident. Defend all you want but I know they are slime

I dont disagree with you on that.
I and many others dont like some of their practices either. No huge corp like that is holy and the bigger they get the more enemies they will make.

Good for you:D

Yes anything good for me the consumer seems to be a non apple apple doing... A doing of my own through research or 3rd party. Gotta pull those worms out of the apple so it can be used :)

You are kind of wormy friend someone should step on ya :) I will come here

Ok we agree on something.. Apple shady thank you sir

Even though he corrected his post to add that he misinterpreted the language of the license agreement the same way you did? It does not say in the SLA that Apple supports downgrading your phone. The language that he referenced referred to Apple's commitment to provide updates for iOS, not downgrades.

Thankyou I did indeed correct my original post as I misinterpreted the wording of the agreement.
What they are actually saying is that they Licence the software to all iPhone holders. You own the device but the software on it is owned by apple. Because of this they will continue to develop and update the software on the device as they see fit until a time comes when they deem the hardware as old and unsupportable.
There part of the agreement is being for filled by the weekly software updates that iTunes does when you plug your phone in.

Apple said:
(the Original iPhone Software and iPhone Software Updates are collectively referred to as the "iPhone Software") are licensed, not sold, to you by Apple Inc. ("Apple") for use only under the terms of this License. Apple and its licensors retain ownership of the iPhone Software itself and reserve all rights not expressly granted to you

Apple will provide you any iPhone OS software updates that it may release from time to time, up to and including the next major iPhone OS software release following the version of iPhone OS software that originally shipped from Apple on your iPhone, for free. For example, if your iPhone originally shipped with iPhone 2.x software, Apple would provide you with any iPhone OS software updates it might release up to and including the iPhone 3.x software release. Such updates and releases may not necessarily include all of the new software features that Apple releases for newer iPhone models

Why don't you read a few posts above and learn something about the agreement you were talking about incorrectly earlier.

they don't own anything once you purchase the phone. they don't own the software.. Just like Microsoft doesn't own your copy of Vista or XP once you purchase a computer or device with the OS on it. They own the rights to it, but they do not own your hardware or software it's yours. You cannot copy it and sale it because it's their work but you can modify the device and if the their software is on it fine... they have no right to tell you what to do, the law even states this as Apple lost in court. Apple Own it's software/ but they cannot tell you what to do with the software once you buy the phone... Jailbreaking doesn't have anything to do with the software it just adds other software to your phone which is legal as I said.. Apple lost in court.

actually you do not own the software. you own the licence to use it. just like with windows vista or xp, you pay for the licence key to use the software. if you do not have a valid licence key, they lock you out. jailbreaking is everything to do with the software, its done by finding loopholes and flaws in the existing software to then break the coding to allow additional, unlicensed software to run, thus jailBREAKing.

jailbreaking is legal though, hacking into XP not paying for it to use it is illegal... See the difference is, if you own a computer running lets say XP on it and you want to add other software to your PC it's legal, just like it's legal to add software to the Iphone, it's your hardware to add which software you like. Who is changing the OS on an Iphone? I havent changed mine.. it works the same.

Besides that why does apple care so much about People messing up their phone ? They put faulty water sensors in iphone 3G and 3GS so it could void your warranty if you really did have a defective phone, and they keep all that APP care money to , lol... nice racket.

actually it's only legal in america. it still invalidates your warranty tho, much like opening up your prebuilt pc's and laptops and over clocking it. if you overclocked a prebuilt laptop, you wouldn't be able to get it fixed, ergo, if you jailbreak your iPhone, you invalidate the warranty so you cannot get it fixed. you miss the point totally yet again, jailbreaking is changing the OS by exploiting a flaw to break the code to allow unlicensed software to be installed on it. you are therefore changing the OS.

and they don't get all the app money, they get a share, the developers get most of it.

if we cannot get it fixed if it breaks we get a perm fix by not buying from apple any longer.. go with Samsung or someone who lets you do things with your device rather than control your every move.. apple talking about recording your heartrate, voice and determine if your phone needs shut off... LOL oh if Apple could just go around breaking into peoples phones and shutting them down (jailbreakers) Steve would make sure this gets done ASAP just like the new 4.0.2 update blocking jjailbreakers out.. LOL

But Steve isn't bigger than the Government and they will roll over his skinny little body and bald head with ease... I love America :) we still have some rights left.

Sorry to keep bumping this thread but, AppleJuiced, do you really work for Apple or is the OP just making that up?

First off you don't have to hack a computer or the OS in any way to load software onto it. All operating systems that I know of let the user install software without modification this includes iOS, in the form of applications downloaded from the apple store.

Now Jailbreaking is modifying the OS as the Jailbroken ROM enables hidden "features" such as SSH into the root file system. The installation of cracked (Read Pirated apps). This stealing from independent developers. Ok there can be a legitimate reason for Jailbreaking to customise the OS or to add features that Apple have missed out. But it still breaks the SLA between you and Apple.

Cracking your copy of windows XP is stealing from a developer aswel because it is only done to bypass the copy protection on the disk (cd key).

PS This is not an anti Jailbreaking post as I know there are alot of people out there who do not Jailbreak for cracked apps. But then again there are probably just as many people who want everything for free.

lol you are basically complaining that you knowingly invalidate your warranty by jailbreaking and apple should still fix it? as i previously stated, if you open up a prebuilt PC bought from dell or HP or sony, and you mess with the parts and it breaks, you invalidate the warranty, therefore they won't fix it, its exactly the same principle, so surely all those other companies are evil by your standards. but you're the one at fault as you have KNOWINGLY invalidated your warranty.

are you really not getting this? even my 5 year old godson could comprehend this!

as for the patent apple have applied for, if you run a pirated copy of windows and microsoft shut it off, which they can and do do, what apple has applied for is fairly similar to that, andit is a patent which actually hasn't been enforced yet, it is still hypothetical and not in practice yet. there are precedents for this out there.

When did I say I would want apple to fix my phone? I know jailbreaking voids warranty the same as sweating with your phone in your pocket does. I know this already.. I have no problem with the warranty being voided because apples warranty sucks anyway, and if my phone breaks im getting an android so no worries partner. What I have a problem with is Apple trying to brick Jailbroken phones.... I know they want to this and is there goal with the patent , that won't go through for them anyway :) They stopped jailbreaking in 4.0.2, they dont give two cares about 3G users or Sensors issues as of yet.. Comprehend ???

I understand quite well what is going on.... To much actually and it has got me banned on here.. nobody wants to hear the truth when they are swinging from the nads of a company. understandable. And people don't want to understand it.. Your 5 year old is still innocent and not corupt, he would understand this as you would not...

You obviously do not comprehend. Apple wanting to brick jail broken phones is like microsofts current ability to disable pirated versions of windows.
