LOL. Not even close. I dont think you have any idea how much money a Fortune 500 company makes.

The airpods are, and always will be, a very tiny niche product category. One weekend of iphone 8 sales will dominate an entire years worth of airpod revenue.

Sure I do. To make the Fortune 500 you need to make revenue of just a bit above $5 billion a year. Okay, so that would required about 31 million AirPod Units per year. Okay, maybe that is a bit of a stretch. But with Apple selling 211 million iPhones in 2016 and with AirPods being a very compelling add on for a person buying a new iPhone and being something that users of any iOS device might want, I'm not sure that Apple couldn't sell over 30 million AirPods a year. That would be less than 20% of the new iPhone purchasers. And that would be enough to be a Fortune 500 company.

But I'm completely off base on getting to Fortune 100 level. No way AirPods or together with Beats could make the necessary $25 billion in revenue. That would be way too much to reach.

I love how you believe that Apple makes 100% profit from each pair of airpods to get to your conclusion.

No I don't. Fortune 500 is based on revenue, not on profit. There plenty of non-profitable companies in the Fortune 500. And I'm sure the profit from the AirPods revenu would compare quite favorably to the profit margins of a typical Fortune 500 company on their revenue.

Holy crap. You just showed me you have zero knowledge regarding how businesses operate. You = ignore

Actually I have been in the financial industry for quite some time working with Fortune 500 companies.

The Fortune 500 list is a list of companies by revenue. It is not a list of companies by profit. The AirPods, if they were in their own company, could possibly produce the necessary $5.1 billion in revenue so that they would make the Fortune 500 list. That was my speculation. I think you don't know what the Fortune 500 list is.
