Geez - this is the Christmas ad? These are getting worse every year and this one is by far the worst. This actually turns me off to buy anything related to Apple if they keep this up. Keep it traditional Apple. No one and I mean hardly anyone can like this type of ad? Not even sure who the demographic for this is.

I remember in the 90s when I wished that this rap/hip hop phase would end...

I know I don't have to listen to that crap, but it's so ****ing in your face.
Hey, don’t drag all of rap/hip-hop into this. There is plenty that is great, but for some reason, currently, the crappiest version is the most popular.

The AD is not great but not horribly bad, something new something different, lyrics to the song could have been more holiday related tho. This could be about mental health, they girl is all alone on the holidays... nobody wants that!

That's exactly what it is; specifically dealing with depression/anxiety fueled by covid isolation and 262K+ deaths (in the US alone, with some hitting close to home) around holiday times, when people are usually happy being around friends and family. It's real. And people deal with it in different ways. Music and imagination help many get through it day to day.

Think a little deeper. Specifically about those who are suffering.

Then I’d have appreciated wearing a mask in public at the very least :/. I know it’s a music video but... since we are talking about thinking of those who are suffering.

This fact right here doesn’t get enough lip service. So many contemporary songs are nothing but overproduced processed junk food filled with samples stolen from better songs from decades past. It’s not art, it’s necrophilia. And no it’s not cultural or racial, as even new country artists are guilty of this. It spans all new artists, and it’s just sad.
This isn’t a case of “oh well your parents didn’t like your music either etc etc,” rather it is a sideways admission that what came before is better than what they can come up with now, so to overcome that they literally steal that better music to pad out their weak product. Cast it in whatever light you want, but that’s the reality and as Tozovac rightly pointed out the majority of the music spawned in these times will be completely forgettable in a decade.
Sweet Little 16 by Chuck berry, Surfin USA by The Beach Boys.
same melody, same guitar line, same form of English, same pronunciation, different lyrics.
Plus, let’s not forget that several artist from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and even the 80s got popular by covering other peoples songs.
Sampling is way more of an expansive pallet to expand an idea of another song.
there are entire genres, vaporwave for example, that literally take the art of sampling to an entire different level

I remember people hollering about the same complaint with just about every genre when it has advanced. your comment is like an explicit content label lol. Try to breathe deep and hear whats being said at normal volume. Curious if people judge music based on the artist or how the artist is dressed or the style of music before they actually listen to it?

Heck that same complaint is spoke by so many students when they first read Shakespeare. notice the trend? ;)
Thank you and yet here everyone is talking about it and making it more memorable than any other. It isn't difficult to understand at all but I guess sometimes cleaning out random bias is just a tad hard when it's embedded so deep.
