1. Stores could care less what you pay for taxes. They have to turn around and hand that to the taxing body(state and/or county). Saying that they are just trying to circumvent taxes is ignorant.BLack friday should be national free tax day....if you guys havent noticed yet the sale price is minus the tax most of the times, but during checkout when tax is added it almost goes back regular price without the tax...companies just play circles around sheeps..and if you dont understand what i just said....then wise up...but thats their whole intention.
nyc's apple store is reportedly open and selling. anyone there?

I just got off the phone with someone at the NYC - 5th Avenue store.
- The Black Friday promotions are going from Midnight to Midnight (EST).
- And iPhones are NOT on sale this year due to the recent price drop...
Just got off the phone with someone also at the Apple Store on Fifth Ave. - New York, (212) 336-1440.
Bummer, this is like last year... only the MacBooks and Imacs are on sale with up to $101 off (cannot combine with edu discount according to him). iPod Touch and iPhone are NOT on sale. Only the Nanos and Classics - minimal too - up to 10% off.He also said the Airport Extreme BS and Express are both on sale too... Just call that number and dial extension 5 so you get a live person right away... and you can ask him for more prices on sale.
