So yo
I like the intrusions, things like fire exits wouldn't exist, because companies would be too cheap to make sure they exist in buildings. I like the freedom to be able to download whatever browser and apps I want to on my computers. I like to be able to know companies can't prevent alternatives.
u like Mac App store with few fake apps ?
we have to install apps from browser which were never verified by anyone ?
unfortunately iOS app store would look like Mac App store in few years.
This is not about freedome, this si about corporations trying ti bypass Apple restrictions, they want data for free.

Buy a devise that doesn't have FB installed.
I moved to Apple becasue i was tired of crap that was pre installed on most of the windows machines.
We have options, we don't need government to pass legislation for every simple thing.
We want cheap devices or even free, we don't want advertisements.
We don't want to pay for apps.
We don't want to pay for services.
Apple has one major downside though. Correct me, if I am wrong, but on iOS it is very hard to switch back to an old version of an app, if you do not like the new version. Instagram very often makes its app worse for example. On Android I can try the new version and easily switch back to the old one by installing the old .apk.

Apple should give us the same option. The old versions can't be a security risk as Apple has screened them when they came out.

I have an idea Buy Android phone, have fun with limtless options to customize.
Custom ROM, custom UI.
it is open source you can even create your own UI that no one has, specifically customized to your needs.
Leave iPhone to people who like iOS, please don't change iOS, we are happy the way it is.
Unfortunately that’s not how human nature works. I want things the way I want them and I want everybody else’s things the way I want them. If you don’t like what I like that means you’re wrong and you need to start learning to like it.

Any app not required for the functioning of the OS should be deletable. Gawd, so much bloat on both iOS and Android, with Samsung being among the worst culprit. Y'all can't uninstall most of the Sammy bloat without root.😤 Once I rooted/custom ROM my phone, I gained an extra 20GB of storage. That's 20GB of bloat, bloat, bloat.

It should be possible to delete any app on iOS or Android. The excuse always is that some apps are "deeply" intergrated into the system, but that was a choice by Apple and Google. It should be possible to design a system in a way that no app is so deeply intergrated that you can't delete it.
Apple and Google aren’t the only ones making choices, though. Consumers make choices. Those that absolutely MUST have a physical keyboard either haven’t bought a phone in awhile or are carrying around small keyboards. Those that absolutely MUST be able to delete any app on their phone either have phones with no apps or have shopped around to find a phone that allows them to delete any app on their phone.

If they haven’t shopped for and purchased a phone that allows the deletion of ANY app on their phone, then the assumption is that the feature is not all that important to the user.

No, you can't. In order to do that you need to jailbreak your device. And there are no iOS15 Jailbreaks available. So if you buy an iPhone today you have no way of running any sort of program not approved by Apple.
Not entirely true. If one has a Mac with Xcode, they can install whatever they want. If they don’t know how to install whatever they want using Xcode, then they’ll need to look for someone that will help them do that. Just because a user doesn’t know how to, doesn’t mean it can’t be done.

You can do whatever you want to your device. It does not obligate anyone to help you.
Yeah, there are those with the skill to do so that are running the jailbreak now. The work going on now is to try to make something at lot easier for your average person to deploy. A user not having the skill to use the current jailbreak does not mean the current jailbreak doesn’t exist.

If a tech giant like Microsoft could not make a go at giving customers exactly what you are asking for I doubt there is a market for it.
Right, the potential market of people that want/need that mix of features is so small (even on Android, few users ever install from outside the Google Play store), it’s not worth marketing to.

That’s what it comes down to.

There’s a large number of people that want the Android way of doing things. There are significantly fewer, worldwide, that want the Apple way of doing things, and then there are a very tiny group that want some mixture of the two, but there’s not enough of them to make anyone pay attention to them.

So, they cry to a government using words like “monopoly” and “antitrust” not really understanding what those words mean in order have the government artificially create the precise thing that most people don’t even want… as shown by what most people are actually buying.

Really? Maps looks and runs nicer than google for directions. Especially if using for driving on a car mount. Yes google has more business locations etc. but if your doing a lot of driving googles directions are clunky and not are visually jaring at times when driving.
Last time I used Google, I didn't like how close the autozoom was. I couldn't even see the curve of the road up ahead.

Kroger? you just happened to use as an example one place where Apple Pay isn’t accepted and you can’t leave your wallet at home if you go there to shop.
An even if you knew they did, the time you have no physical cards is when the system is down or such

Same here. What is even more funny, is that if a place doesn't take apple pay or some form of payment where I can use my phone, I tend not to shop their anymore. I have gotten in the habit of using my phone now, it is almost second nature.
I also will boycott unless no store in that genre accepts it. At least now I know ACE takes AP so I can give the finger to HD and Lowe's. And if I didn't love LJS so much, they woule be over too. They don't even take chips yet! Nice of them to eat all the fraudulent charges

Well, you already have those options on other platforms. So why are you still on this one? I don’t understand posts like yours. You complain about Apple yet remain on the platform when you have options. Please explain.
Apple provides updates longer for their devices, their build quality is better and Facetime is a killer feature
