What is with this obsession with live streams? Don't you people have jobs, school, something? Are there really people who are completely free in the middle of september to watch an event for 2 hours as it happens?

I'm self-employed and it's happening around my lunchtime. I'll take a long lunch, watch the stream while I eat, and my boss won't mind one bit.

Don't you realise that people all don't work at the same time, and that people watch in different countries? For example the event starts at 6pm my time so I've finished work.

He's actually a jerk.

A biometric scanner isn't innovation nor are colored iPhones

He's a jerk for not saying something about something that hasn't been released yet? Haha yeah he's the jerk!

I will be multitasking at the office tomorrow.

I'm unemployed and live with my grandma. I'm usually watching Dr. Oz so tomorrow is exciting day for me

I wish and pray that every single photo, video, ect that has been leaked proves to be false, and everyone looks like a fool! that would be so great to see

Upgrade your tablet in the off year of your phone.

Probably will upgrade my tablets on a 3 year cycle. We'll see though, I've never had one before, and who knows what killer feature will lure me to buy a new one earlier. I imagine I'll never really get rid of any old tablets I do have, though. I'll just collect them like PADDs from Star Trek so I've got a few scattered about in every room :p.

A budget-cut on the decoration/banners? I have seen 5-year-old-birthdayparties with more and bigger banners :)

apparently you didn't quite get the idea:

apple is going for the minimalistic approach now. that's how they conceived iOS 7 (nevermind the poor choice of colours and/or icon design) and thats the idea they want to sell at this event.

Not everyone has a job where they are forced to work all day.

On Apple "event" days, I schedule all of my paperwork (that I usually do late in the day, or 1st thing in morning) right at 1:00pm EST. Then i put the live feed on one monitor and my spreadsheet on the other. Granted, I spend most of the time reading the feed, but at least I'm "working" as well. And, If I wanted to, I could come in my office, close the door, put my feet up, dim the lights, grab popcorn, DND the phone, and watch the entire event....In fact, after thinking about it, I'm choosing the latter for tomorrow. BoooYahh!

And c'mon..You know your gonna be checking your phone while ur filling those fries!

you're so concerned with everyone's lives. Get one yourself kid.

A new iPhone and a revamp of IOS is not a low-key event. That and larger venues fit more "reporters". Smaller venue fits less.

You watch. There will be a link on Apple's homepage sometime today or early tomorrow morning with a link to the live stream.

We'll see. But iOS 7 is no longer news, the 5S isn't going to be radically different, and the 5C is really aimed at China. I would say it's low-key compared to last year, where both the iPhone and iPod lines got major overhauls. And if it was going to be big, wouldn't they want to do it at the biggest venue?

Heh, I like how you inadvertently put quotes around "reporters." Reading the silly "that was a disappointing event, Apple is doomed" articles this week that now account for tech "journalism" will make for entertaining reading.

I'm getting excited for this! And it's the first time that I won't have class during the keynote (which basically just means that I won't have to follow it from my phone). :)
