I just got an email from Apple to take the 3 month test drive and be able to watch this. I haven't tried Apple Music yet, and this isn't going to be the one feature that causes me to try it.

I can't believe this new video content is buried within Apple Music. And not even at the top level. There has to be a better way.
Video content should not even be in Apple music.
They want it to be free to music subscribers.. then just make it free where videos belong. Dont start a whole new process of confusion between music and video.
I guess Eddy and Apple did not learn much from the convoluted ITunes.

Yay! Wonderful! With all the crap that is going on with Apple (latest iOS unstable with WiFi, MacPros breathing last air, customer service going down the drain, adapters broken, missing or suddenly necessary, a GUI which is horrendous, product politics which renders devices useless because of forced-upon updates) with aaaaaaaall that: WE DO NEED MORE BEATS1, CARPOOL KARAOKE AND SELF-DRIVING CARS, just so we don't realize how terrible Apple has become.

Oh yes, and give me emojis, so I can express my love for Apple with smileys.

Didn't make it through first 4 minutes. I cringed watching Corden in the episode. Well, he's usually on and off on the Karaoke Carpool series anyway. I will give it another try some time tomorrow.

Buried deep? For me it shows at the top of the browse page. Perhaps it’s because i’m on the developer beta and they addressed the issue?

Actually, its probably because you've used Apple Music for more than five seconds, and figured out where things are, rather than not having bothered, and just come on here to criticise something you haven't really bothered to look at.

OMG! This is horrible? There are some talented people here, but.......

Apple music , IMHO, is sliding downhill. Where is the entertainment value? In the absurdity of it all?

Pretty much - it just started as a segment on his chat show, but became hugely popular on YouTube.

Its just a bit of fun, so its pointless trying to get all highbrow about it. Sometimes a bit of fun is just what is needed.

+1 biiiilion. Was tempted to reply this to every other post in this thread. Grow up children, if you don't like it don't watch it. If, as a marketing exercise for Apple Music, it doesn't entice you then don't subscribe.

I was worried about the stretched out running time, but save for a few awkward moments it wasn't all that bad. Had a more comedians in cars getting coffee vibe to it.

It started as a Red Nose Day sketch in 2011.

Just to add to the notion that AM is going downhill. At its essence, AM gives you access to pretty much all recorded music. With that as a starting point, it seems bit daft to argue that it is going downhill just because it has added a couple of peripheral things that some people happen not to like.

Access to pretty much all recorded music? Great.

Access to pretty much all recorded music + a couple of shows? Nah - its going to ****.

Hardly.

So, just to get this right, SJ allegedly said he'd figured out TV, & its meant to be apps. :apple: are chucking a boatload of cash into TV content, but drip feeding the iTunes app with episodes I assume weekly, just like you would get OTA? How have things changed in the last 50 yrs or so & how has :apple: changed this or I am I missing something? The content is the same consumption vehicle but the delivery method different.o_O

You have got to be joking or you're a Luddite decades out of time. Music and video have an incredibly strong connection and have for th last 40 years and even longer. There's no confusion for most anyone under 65 when it comes to that connection.

Love or hate the show and their dabbling in content; but, this, of all criticisms, just seems irrelevant and wildly out of time.

Agreed - it seems pretty clear that they are dipping their toe in original content with content that is most relevant to what they already do, ie music and the Planet of the Apps series.

If and when they start producing drama and comedy as a more direct competitor to Netflix and Amazon then it might need a rethink.

All of the playful spontaneity is long gone.
Now they plan their every move, and cringe is all I do.
