Apple's Chief People Officer Leaves Company After 20 Months

I quit Apple this summer after 5+ years. Post-COVID retail at Apple has been hell. We all worked in fear we’d get fired at any time because Apple didn’t want to be caught publicly laying off like everyone else was. So my store lost ~10% of workers from being fired for suddenly the smallest & most random things. The HR/People side of Apple was the way they did it. People loosing their healthcare and income because they were late a few times. Something that was usually dismissed previously. Even one of our managers was suddenly fired for inviting a former employee (who was just fired the week prior) to say hello to their team backstage in a “non-customer area”, and this was one of our top managers of 10 years. It became very scary to work at Apple Stores and caused significant mental health issues store-wide.
