He’s not a hack and he’s not interested in FOTM Silicon Valley BS like AI so he has no reason to leave for Meta

Maybe he could be persuaded to work for Samsung or NVIDIA but I doubt giant megacorps like that will give him the same freedom he has to just work on kick ass chips for real products and not just **** to make investors dump more money into the company

Also Apple’s chip division is like the only part of Apple that’s absolutely crushing it, no notes

The sheer disappointment at finding out Srouji is staying contrasts nicely with all the happy people when they heard he was leaving.

This is the problem when you tie your happiness to a company potentially failing (esp Apple). You’re in for a lot of heartbreak.

Good to hear! Apple Silicon has become the crown jewel of Apple. Enabling and besting just about everything else on the market.

I have to say... few people realize that Apple is a remarkable semiconductor powerhouse. The M1 was a smash hit, and they're boosting performance 15 percent every single year for four straight years, not to mention the multicore variants. It's very impressive.

I implore you all to take a look at this video and the channel behind it. We're talking "Content Farm" on another level - it almost seems satirical.

And when any real techTuber gets past 100k subs, they trade the first piece of their soul for an RTX5090 and it's all downhill from there.

I am well aware of what YouTube has unfortunately turned into and I am also familiar with this channel, though I don't subscribe. I find some videos enjoyable, others skippable and some just too nerdy for my taste as he does take deep dives into things that don't interest me.

I've also noticed just as many 'this Apple product is BAD!' and or 'Apple is DOOMED' creators as their are Apple fanboy creators, since this take also garners clicks and views, but I have more respect for the shills that truly like Apple, biases aside, versus those who pretend that everything Apple puts out is garbage under the guise of being 'truly' unbiased when in reality, they're just content farming as well, but with little to no actual knowledge or insights about the said products or technology.

Having said that, can you point out the lies and or misleading information in this video? Clearly it's triggering, I just can't see why or how. To me, this was a fitting video to share in this thread for those who may be interested in who these Apple executive are, how long they've been at the company, when they left and who has or may soon replace them. Nothing more, nothing less.

So Neil Cybart and John Gruber suggest (without any evidence) that a competitor (most likely Meta) fed this rumor to Mark Gurman and he ran with it. Gruber calls it a “colossal f—kup” for Gurman and Bloomberg.

Gurman is extremely hit and miss when it comes to his rumors, but what's worse, he virtually NEVER explains or backtracks when he gets something wrong.

He just moves onto the next rumor, zero Fs given as long as it drives clicks to his paywalled articles.

100% - any legitimate news organization will run a correction or update if it made an error. Or at least makes a clarification.

He just shrugs his shoulders and posts another stupid rumour passed off as news and pretends nothing happened.

tbf, he does break a lot of exclusive Apple related news, so I'm not sure how MR can realistically avoid posting his stuff
