Apple very, very carefully worded ATT to affect "...third party..." advertisers leaving itself to fill the void. It has begun taking FBook's role, although surreptitiously. Pretty sure this was always the plan, but they moved slowly to avoid PR issues. Too much revenue for Tim & Co. to ignore. Link:

Eddy Cue is a longstanding veteran at Apple who helped build iTunes and the App Store, but his new title of “Senior Vice President, Services” reflects the company’s increasingly important side hustle, if not outright transformation into a media business and subscription peddler.

Eddy Cue is an absolute putz

Keep yourstinking ads out of my life Apple. How much money do you need to make. and if your greedy shareholders need more value how about adding it with some truly Apple style innovation. Adverts and Cue…….not good, not good at all.

Apple needs to keep increasing earnings and profits in order to keep the share price ticking upwards. This is all about protecting R&D budgets and even more product innovation.

As the saying goes...
"Pick one"

- Grow AD Biz
- Maintain Privacy Values
This is a real minefield. Ask any Apple consumer to pick one, almost everyone would pick user privacy over being subjected to ads. In fact most of us when faced with web content ads just ignore them period, we are like the worse target audience to sell to. :D
