Do you get one code for all 5 apps, or are you provided with 5 codes, one for every app?

Curious as I'm a student who is into video editing, and my flatmate is studying audio engineering, so we're thinking about splitting it up and using the codes for our respective needs.

One code for each app.
So you have to redeem a few times :)

Does anyone not need Motion and Compressor? I'm a student but I already have FCPX and Logic Pro X and just need the others. I know I can buy them separately but maybe someone does not need them and we can arrange a deal :)

I'd really only be looking for FCPX. Trying to figure out if you can use an App store/iTunes GC to purchase this...

No, this isn't purchased via the App Store/iTunes. It's via their "normal" store. You would need Apple Store cards, not iTunes. I'm sure there's some corporate/tax reason they do this. Maybe because they don't discount Apple Store cards because then you'd get a discount on hardware as well...

What’s the vetting process of verifying you’re a student? An .edu email address?
Honesty is the verification process. This isn't just for college students to purchase. Among others, parents who are homeschooling kids can purchase. Teachers and staff and K-12 public or private as well.

Sorry for 2 posts, back-to-back. I was never good at quoting multiple posts, and really not on a mobile device.

Edit: Hey look at that, the Internet was smart enough to merge them for me!!

Friend ordered this on xmas day and is still waiting for codes. They called Apple support last Friday and were told they should have codes by the end of this week. Guess Apple hasn’t reduced the wait times people at the beginning of this thread were experiencing.

I have never used any of these apps. I am back in school taking classes (36 years old). Does it make a lot of sense to buy these for the future (I assume you get to get future updates with this package?).
I am currently a youth pastor, and when I finish school I hope to one day pastor a church--I suspect that I would end up at a "small country church" where I would be handling the majority of the service duties (like tech-related items).

I suppose my question is: since it is likely that anything visual would be handled by me (say 5 years from now) does it make sense to spend 200$ now so I have this software in my back pocket. Or does the fact that I would have to learn the software, and a lot could change personally and software-ly in 5 years that it isn't a smart move.
And, would there be any kind of rights/usage/etc that would prohibit this from being used after college?

Thanks for any opinions.

Get it now and learn what you need in your own pace. Updates will come for all software and you can easily learn them while learning the software. There are from what I know no license restrictions using the software after you’ve finished with I’m your studies. Start using them now for hobby stuff and you’ll be mastering it in five years.

Outside of the "for Education" label there is no mention on the listing page about requirements to get this or that this is explicitly for students and/or staff... Even the checkout page doesn't show anything... How safe is it for the everyday consumer to just add this to the cart and buy it?
