Ah yes, I remember Lisa on the roof of Apple Park telling us why we couldn't have a charger in the box with our iPhones because they wanted to be "green" which wasn't a ploy to make us spend even more money on a charger that should've kept coming with the phone.

Honestly I prefer to spend some money in a charger than having to storage every charger that comes with a new device. I charge my M1 MacBook with the intel MacBook charger and nowadays not even that as I got a GaN charger included with a MagSafe pad that I can use with any device.

I'm a bit shocked by some of the reactions and the whining about chargers that are so abundant we trip over them. She actually did good things in the overall footprint of the company. And yes it's a *bad* sign her position evaporates and is taken over. Apple is pleasing a greedy administration that has nothing with the future of our kids, democracy and equality but everything with inequality, power and repression. I wonder where that ends...

I'll take a wild guess and say none, as it's all meaningless marketing and ended up costing a massive amount of money to create plastic woven cases that will degrade into microplastics that will lead to more plastic pollution entering our ecosystem over the longer term and not naturally disintegrating with age as leather does.

Congrats to Lisa. The goal of Americans is to do your job and save enough money so you can enjoy the remaining years of your life. I had to work hard, but managed to retire relatively early.

It's depressing to see so many attack (in a variety of ways) a person they have never met, and don't know details of her job (or how she worked in a large company).

I would end up buying (over-buying actually) new Anker chargers for my apple devices anyways.

The reason is twofold.

1) Apple device chargers tend to come under-powered. Like I am using a 60w charger for my MBA, and I suppose the 30w charger that comes with it would be suitable for the iPad Pro, just as its 20w charger works well for the iPhone. But the issue is that the default chargers are rarely ever the best option, and there's usually something better on the market.

2) More devices leads to a desire to use multi-port chargers to consolidate my charging needs, so the reality is that the majority of chargers that still come with my Apple devices tend to sit untouched in their original packaging. Even my power strip comes with 2 usb-a ports which I still use to charge my iPhone at night.

Next, Apple could also do away with the wasteful paper packaging that comes with their apple watch bands. It's just 2 strips of rubber. Remove the instruction manual (seriously???) and give it to me in a little paper bag or something.

Yep, those virtually useless little chargers are things I actively don't want now. That's my choice and I'm glad I have it.
