Others might miss her. I started a company in 99 and worked there until a few years ago. Lots of my friends/former co-workers keep trying to get me back.

I think some folks missed the old lesson of:
"if you don't have anything nice to say (about a person, in this case), it's ok to say nothing"

Removing the charger from the iPhone package has become quite controversial for a few reasons all of which deserve fair consideration.
There are the Apple devotees, those who place the company on a pedestal, they can do no wrong. Used to paying premium prices they don't care if Apple is greedy. They even go so far as to regurgitate the company narrative.
Then we have the complacency of those who either aren't paying attention or are not about to say anything.
Finally we have the common sense critical thinkers that believe if Apple is giving us less, some financial consideration is due. Reducing the price of the phone is appropriate.
Each has a right to their position, it’s rather entertaining and revealing to read their various comments.

When I sell or give away my old phone, the charger goes with it.

People do that to Donald Trump all the time, personal comments about his looks etc and it seems to be acceptable.
Why have one rule for him and a different rule for others?

When I think leather phone cases, I can’t help but imagine back in the 90s…the big leather cases that would hang from your belt strap and people would intentionally be dramatic in taking their phone out so everyone KNOWS they have a cellular

Apple recently announced that its environmental chief Lisa Jackson would be retiring this month, and today she was removed from the company's leadership page.
Since 2013, Jackson served as Apple's Vice President of Environment, Policy, and Social Initiatives, reporting to Apple CEO Tim Cook. In this role, she oversaw Apple's renewable energy and energy efficiency initiatives. Apple aims to become carbon neutral across its entire business, manufacturing supply chain, and product life cycle by 2030.
Jackson also led Apple's Racial Equity and Justice Initiative, and she was responsible for the company's worldwide Government Affairs team.
"I am deeply appreciative of Lisa's contributions," said Cook. "She has been instrumental in helping us reduce our global greenhouse emissions by more than 60 percent compared to 2015 levels. She has also been a critical strategic partner in engaging governments around the world, advocating for the best interests of our users on a myriad of topics, as well as advancing our values, from education and accessibility to privacy and security."
Prior to Apple, Jackson served as Administrator of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, during President Barack Obama's first term.
Following Jackson's retirement, Apple said that its Environment and Social Initiatives teams would report to the company's operations chief Sabih Khan, while oversight of the Government Affairs team is transitioning to Apple's general counsel.

Happy Retirement, Lisa! You did a great job setting a high bar for Apple.

Apple Park used to be a giant parking lot. Now it's 80% restored to oxygen-producing greenery.
Not every new phone needs to come with yet another power adapter. Apple was right to remove the electronic waste.
All Apple packaging is now, or soon to be, free from plastics, and the packaging itself was reduced in volume.
Just compare today to 20 years ago to see how Apple has transformed. Lisa set and achieved a high bar.

She looks young - good for her for being able to retire at a young age, would be so much fun I bet their pension is insane at Apple.
To each their own. I returned the one I had for my 15PM the next day, it was garbage.
Techwoven is a massive improvement for sure, but still too expensive for what it is.
Thank goodness Nomad still makes leather cases.
