Everyone here saying “Apple shouldn’t change this!” Or “remember your history!” aren’t paying attention. Apple unapologetically marches forward, dragging everyone kicking and screaming in their wake.

In some ways, Tim keeping ancient products around at lower price points fights that philosophy, but otherwise it’s pretty much their way. “Yesterday is irrelevant.”

I was there for the midnight release of Jaguar!

Twenty. Years. Ago.

Love the classic look! Used to shop there often, when there were few Apple Stores on The Garden State. Checkout counter at the door, rows of boxed MAC Software (Remember software in boxes?) Genius Bar, Macs everywhere, and the theater!

That is the store I normally go to, there is another Apple Store in the mall close to that location but is way busier. Eh, shipping is free.

... but if you saw the revenue-per-store numbers between Tice's and Nanuet, you'd be shocked which one produced more. Foot traffic doesn't always equal money. :)

Huh?

(Apple Store) Tice's Corner was never anything BUT an Apple Store. They're the original occupant of that location - the building was built specifically for them.

I mean, I remember when Tice's was an apple FARM, but that's a whole different, delicious story.
Yeah, me too! A friend noted that instead of getting McIntoshes you go there to get MacIntoshes

The brand "iPhone". You know that if released today, it would not be called "iPhone". So why don't they change it?

Association and nostalgia are powerful forces. Remembering the past and how we got here is also very important to avoid repeating the same mistakes (cough trash can Mac Pro).
