I don't know or not so sure about this. Everybody got the right to choose whatever. I don't know. I will wait til it comes out and see how I feel about it. Just saying.

Why don’t these folk just put their hands up and say, “oops, my Intel was crap, I got it wrong, this device doesn’t exist”. Instead they just say “it’s delayed”.

I suspect Apple, Inc. will eventually become a 90% software focused company, leaving hardware for others to R&D and then produce.
And you base this theory on the wonderful success story of Siri and the HomePods?

And of course when Apple release the AR spectacles in 5-10 years who would need a TV screen for viewing media, just designate a virtual area of wall and watch whatever on the virtual screen alone, in a group, in a shared FaceTime call etc.
Exactly. Just get the glasses nonsense for each family member, then just relax. Probably a steal, and incompatibility with your games console and any other video output you already have if the non existent integration of the HomePod is any indication with its absence of ports.

Siri works 99.9% of the time, for at least one user on this site. And that’s just fine for them. 😄

Who needs PS5 compatibility when you have AppleArcade? 😉

So in your opinion Apple can't multitask, like add emoji and fix bugs because the same person is doing both?

Not because it’s the same person but I am far from the only one pointing out their inability to multitask effectively.

You may be far from the only one pointing out apples “inability to multitask” but that doesn’t mean y’alls opinions are correct.

Many have pointed out that in 2011 apple was doomed to failure and yet 12 years later…

I hate to say it and please screenshot my comment for the record… Apple is making a MASSIVE mistake, they are putting all their eggs in the limited VR/AR basket and everything else is suffering and delayed. The result Apple will fall further behind (just like with Siri. Lead then lose strategy) It is way past due to have Tim Cook step aside and get some innovation and risk taking back at Apple. Steve warned others “if you focus on to many things, you will become the best at nothing.” Look at the AI race that has popped up. Apple has not even shown up to the party yet. And yet Apple will state some bs about “we are not always first” I love Apple but as each month goes by and we get nothing really that exciting from the product line people will start to defect to other better & cheaper technologies with a fresh “Wow & useful” factor at a lower price. Apple please wake up and prove us all wrong. (Oh and sorry the next big thing is not going to be an Apple car, sorry)

Hoping and wishing that Apple makes some serious course corrections. Fingers crossed.

A real Apple fan.

Software can be bad, without preferring someone else's software that is worse. Maybe study about Logic would help. Although it was the most hated class when I went to school. It seems nobody really understands logic today.

Ok, let me see if I understand this logic thing... when the OP wrote "Apple is terrible at software, their strength has always been hardware design", their logic was that just about all software is terrible? Please guide me here.

Surely someone out there can produce software that is better than "terrible"?

Another home appliance with a success projection somewhere as low as the HomePod already was. Come on Apple, deliver bold products and not mishmash nonsense that fills niches.
Lack of display (for direct access to music cover art, search and navigation without the need for carrying one of our many iOS devices at all times or speaking to our devices/Siri) was one of the reasons we passed on the homepod last year and got a NAD C700 with external speakers in stead. It’s got a nice display and a dedicated remote with preset buttons for our most commonly used radio stations/streaming service playlists.

The logic thing was referring to your reply to just use something else ("whose OS would you rather have than Apple's on your devices?") not the OP.
