They can fit-out the new auditorium at Apple Campus two in 6 weeks cant they? They've put the roof on and everything.

Hopefully they will be throwing a new Macbook and updated Macbook Pros with Skylake. Maybe a new design? Then it would be interesting. A smaller phone and updated iPad don't really stand up on there own to warrant a full media event. Maybe they have something else in the cooker. We will see.

Not very hype for this event.

It's hard to imagine an event if this is all it is.

Updating the iPad with some Pro features isn't enough to warrant an event. We've already seen the features on the Pro, so at most this is a press release.

A 4" phone is also a head scratcher, as much as I want one, because no matter what it won't be a flagship device. Again a press release will suffice.

The only way this makes sense as an event is if the watch is a brand new 2nd generation model with some new exciting features. There's no way they will just introduce some new watch bands at an event.

The only other way this makes sense is if they are launching a brand new product none of us are expecting.

I'm really hoping the iPad Air 3 has support for the pencil. I'm not holding my breath though. This, in my opinion, is a required feature for me to justify upgrading form the Air 2. There are so many times when I'm taking notes on my iPad in class and have to switch over to pencil and paper to draw objects or write out equations.

Wow, I can't wait to pay 400-500 dollars for a 4inch phone!...said nobody with a clue.

What is the difference if it's a 4 inch iPhone vs a 5.5 if the internals are similar? Some people prefer phones that don't look like ipads.

Or, maybe they will finally break down and announce the actual sales numbers for aWatch?
Highly anticipated by many! (Not that I know what one would do with such info)
Whatever it is the pro and against aWatch followers will both say : I told you so!

But , agreed I don't see why they even need to hold this event with that line up.

PS: 17" MBP Retina 4K or larger, I'd be ready to buy.

iPhone 5SE - what a stupid name. Also people do not want a downgraded phone but a 4" version. Even so with a A9 it isn't downgraded from iPhone6 but it sure does sound like it is.

I have the iPad Air. Not sure what would make me upgrade.

*sigh* My realistic, not "working the stock market" prediction of the iPad Air 3.

  • Same screen resolution
  • No Touch3D
  • No Pencil support (still 3-4 week order backlog with the iPP only being supported)
  • 1.8 - 2.0 GHz A9X Processor
  • 2GB RAM (but goes from DDR3 to DDR4)
  • 16/64/128GB storage options
  • Camera gets it's flash, silly, but why not.
  • Four speakers with much smaller air channels
  • Smart Connector for smaller smart keyboard
  • Slightly thicker because of the air channels, to keep the battery at 10 hours (possibly bump to 12 hours)
  • USB 3 Lightning port
I swear some of these crazy predictions are meant to make the Air 3 look worse than it is when it's released, to make Apple look bad.

Please please please work some magic and surprise us with a non-pro iPad with Pencil support. I will happily trade in my Mini2 (which I love) for an Air if that is the case.

Plus, I don't want to wait until 2017 for it.

So in other words, I purchased a Verizon iPad Air 2 in October, thinking it would be at least another year before the Air would receive another upgrade... Yet here we are with rumors of an updated Air six months after the September keynote where Apple failed to upgrade the Air, but instead, unveiled just the "iPad Pro" and an "updated" iPad Mini.

Even worse is the iPhone 5"se." I don't see a point to this product at all. Just release three versions of the iPhone 7-- 5.5", 4.7", and 4.0" and be done with it--dump the older iPhone models out of the Apple store and take some of the saturation out of the iPhone market, and price them accordingly:

iPhone 7 (4.0")
32 GB - $349.99
64 GB - $449.99
128 GB - $549.99

iPhone 7 (4.7")
32 GB - $449.99
64 GB - $549.99
128 GB - $649.99

iPhone 7 (5.5")
32 GB - $549.99
64 GB - $649.99
128 GB - $749.99
264 GB - $849.99

Prices per month for the iPhones would range between $14.58 a month for the 32 GB iPhone 7 (4") and $35.41 a month for the 264 GB (5.5") phone with a 24 month payment installment agreement.

Part of me wanted to kick myself for giving in and going from an iPad 3 to an Air 2 in October, but that's stupid. The Air 2 has been a wonderful device that I've enjoyed using. The only thing I believe would tempt me to upgrade is Apple Pencil support, but that's not rumored in this article. The A8X is plenty fast (for me) and I'm hesitant to upgrade to any iPad that gets a resolution bump in the first gen (iPad 3 burned me...literally and figuratively...).

Still I'm excited to see what they put out!

It's looking more and more like we'll not get the very obvious GPS inclusion in the Apple Watch upgrade. Well, I guess I'll have to look elsewhere if I want a fitness device. Though Apple touts the Apple Watch as a fitness device, it's obvious it's nothing close to it.

It's not a professional fitness tracker, but it is a fitness device. It tracks calories, workouts, stand goals, etc. It isn't the best on the market, but it isn't intended to be. It may not work for you, but I'm sure it is a fitness device for a large group of people.

I use it as my main fitness tracker. But I don't do outdoor runs without my phone. I wouldn't even if the watch had a GPS inside.

I'm in that boat as well. I do 95% of my workouts indoors with my equipment and treadmill. When I do occasionally run outdoors I would never leave my iPhone at home so the Watch can use the phone's GPS. I'm not apposed to it getting GPS, it just isn't a significant factor for me.

I hate this product name logic. iPhone 5se, iPhone 5s. If they're not careful it will start to look like LG, Sony, Samsung, etc product name, like "Sony XD94 / XD93 HDR 4K". What is this?

Wait. There is logic to it? :D It use to be (not for Apple, but other companies) that and SE moniker stood for "special edition." But after the iPhone 3G, maybe the 3Gs, iPhone names really didn't have any logic to them since the 3G was for 3rd Gen data, not 3rd gen iPhone.

So here's hoping the 5se moniker is just a "code," or disinformation and there is a better name. But Apple's marketing creativity hasn't been up to its own previous standards of late, so 5se is not too unbelievable.

what would be the point of a small march event for minor upgrades if WWDC is just around the corner?

I like it, however, you are way off on the pricing model, Apple is no way going to lower the price of the 128GB by $200, not yet anyway. Apple will keeps it's profit margin on these phones for many years to come...

Just what the world needs more of - more iWatch bands.

But it would be nice to see an all new, gussied-up Air 3

I understand your frustration but also think that any Apple product over a year old you have to assume that an update can drop at anytime from the day after you buy to never. It would be hard to believe Apple would let the Air line wither for two years. Surely that would kill off the iPad for sure. Just the same I don't hold high excitement that the Air 3 will be anything too remarkable. But for me "remarkable" would be pen compatibility. Otherwise happy to keep on using my Air 2.
