Apple's iPad Air 3 and 'iPhone 5se' Event May Take Place March 15

I know I shouldn't be, but I'm a little excited about more watch bands. I'm not the target for a leather or link band, but I love the current colors of the elastomer bands. I'd like an olive green option. I realize this makes me sound really superficial, but I like to mix and match my bands.

Once again, I realize how absurd I sound.

As far as the laptop upgrades, I only get a new macbook every 5 years so whenever I get a new one, its a huge upgrade. My macbook air is a 2013 so if I'm complaining in 2018, then I'll know its gotten realllly stagnate.

I just upgraded to iOS 9.2.1 and it broke my Touch ID and devastated my battery life. Apple thinks the software update may have "exposed" flaws in the out of warranty hardware. I really hope they actually announce this phone whatever it is. Never knew how dependent I'd become on Tiuch ID. Now that I'm office bound battery life is nit that essential, but can't live like this.

I have the latest iOS on my iPhone 5S, and all is well. Not disputing your account, but it's not a universal problem.

I'm also waiting to upgrade for this supposed smaller new iPhone. No interest, personally, in a gigantic phablet.

Model number should be tied to CPU generation. 5se would make me think of A6 or A7-generation chips. If it gets an A8 it should be an iPhone 6-based name and if it's an A9 it should be an iPhone 6s-based name.

I'm a little annoyed that something that seems so easy to do ( up date processors,motherboards) Apple does do! It can be done every 6-12 moths max! Apple "should" be able to handle, what was " normal cycle" attention to the Mac line up! Pushing Mac updates back to launch the IPad Pro is foolish especially before Christmas! Update Mac Pro, MBP with Skylake already!!

To all of the tech-experts in here who think the 5se is just a pointless minor bump that doesn't need an event:

My mother actually asked me about it the other day and I can promise you she is NOT reading Apple rumor sites. Not only did this news somehow get to her, she and my father are both very excited by the concept of this phone.

I can't even remember the last time she asked me about an Apple product before the official announcement.

Once again, the Mac Rumors forum posters make the mistake of thinking their needs are normal or average.

It's not completely Apple's fault- production delays from Intel are to blame as well.

I've found myself using my iPad less and less these days. In fact I'd say it's barely been touched in the past month in our household!

Between the MacBook's getting more portable, and the iPhone bigger/more capable, the iPad's market is being squeezed.

Completely agree. A budget phone and a smaller iPad (both with late 2015 internals), and new watch bands. I'd be surprised if there isn't some mention of Mac computers. Upgrade computers in the spring, along with minor changes to the iDevice line. Significant iDevice upgrades in the fall, with minor changes to the Watch/TV.

I hate this product name logic. iPhone 5se, iPhone 5s. If they're not careful it will start to look like LG, Sony, Samsung, etc product name, like "Sony XD94 / XD93 HDR 4K". What is this?
Please give names to this things. The iPad family is a good example. iPad, iPad mini, iPad Air, iPad Pro.

Not particularly exciting - seems rather overkill for a minor iPhone addition ( a cutdown iPhone 6 with smaller screen ), and watch straps. Depending on iPad additions - that may be worth an event.

Hopefully they'll be an announcement of Skylake redesigned MBPs....

I am happy that Apple are introducing new iHardware outside the regular update cycle... it will help to stop the slowing mid cycle 'i' sales after the demand is easing for the October stuff.

The iPad Pro did not get a 4K display so i'm not sure what makes anyone think that the Air 3 will?? I hope I'm wrong on this because that would be awesome but not holding my breath
