First preordered iPhone since iPhone 6. I was on Pixel for a while and jumped on an iPhone 12 I found on swappa last year to test out iOS again and am sticking with it, so will be getting a 15 Pro and holding on to it for a few years. Very excited, just hope T-Mobile has decent enough promos for trade in.
I plan on upgrading so I hope t mobile does us good

Count me in for a 15 Pro!
Yeah, me too. The thing I really want is the Type C charging in phone and airpods... but seriously is it worth replacing my 12 pro and airpods 1 pro? They otherwise seem to work fine. I doubt I will say to myself "gosh, I'm glad I now have a dynamic island!"

A mockup for the iPhone 15 Pro. Notice the Curved Titanium edges. It is no longer carrying stainless steel. Indeed, it is a welcome change! Say good bye to the micro-scratches.

Nice, I really hope this is what we get. That white would be a first day buy for me.

Who out here will be camping outside their local store for one of these?
Nobody. And the same goes for pre-orders. Here’s the harsh reality from Apple’s last earnings call….
—IPhone revenues fell 2.4% year-over-year to $39.7 billion, Mac revenues sank 7.3% to $6.8 billion, and iPad revenue plummeted 19.8% to $5.8 billion.—
But the alarming part is that Apple is predicting further declines going forward. And that spooks the Wall Street caskno.

If these dates line up like the article quoted, this will be the 2nd year in a row, I will not have any problems preordering and receiving a launch day device. My job is 5 minutes from my home, so I have enough time to preorder and get to work on time, and I have an extended weekend off Sept. 22-24, so I’ll have plenty of time to play around with the new features.

I need something half the size of the the current Dynamic Island or total under display camera + Face ID.

And definitely USB-C with better than 2.0 specs.

And 8GB RAM.
Word is the Pro will give you TB4 and more than 8 GB RAM if those are the most important for you. TBH it’s surprising to me that you care about the port sped — I haven’t plugged anything other than power into my phone in over a decade. May I ask what you use it for?

For me it’s USB C and is that really worth paying for If it’s the only thing? My 12 is still going strong.

I guess Apple expects a lot of problems and there needs to be enough support to handle them.
I didn’t work for Apple. These are carriers who produce their own product pages for marketing. Assets go out 1-2 hours after events, carrier page designs are then submitted to Apple to approve before going live. Yes, they control every aspect of how iPhones are marketed :)

Fifteen years ago I waited 45 minutes (the waiting itself was sort of an event), but Apple has the store purchase management down pretty good now. The last few years waits have been ~10-20 minutes Now I buy on line preorder and then go to the Apple Store line if the specific model I am waiting for has multiple weeks delivery time.

I'd love a portless iPhone, but only if we get 90% wireless charging efficiency.
Wireless charging efficiency on the iPhone 14 Pro is good enough for me that my iP14P has not been plugged in even once. I do miss having a headphone jack port however.

I’m doing it this year anyway. My 11 is painfully slow. Hopefully I’ll just learn to only use my phone when I really need it and stop wasting so much time on Reddit, YouTube, MacRumors, etc.

With so much focus on health it’s surprising Apple still hasn’t addressed these ****** OLED screens though.
How wide spread is this issue? I hear some very vocal complaints on here, but everyone of my friends and coworkers is on an iPhone 11 Pro, 12/12 Pro, 13/13 Pro, and 14 Pro and I’ve never heard of a single complaint. All that to say I’ve never heard of a real life complaint. Not to say it doesn’t exist.

Some great news! "Designed by Apple in California Assembled in India".

Looks like production for iPhone 15 lineup has kicked in India today.
