I used to do every 2 years but I'm still rocking an 8, little bumps in camera and processor aren't enough for me to upgrade 1 or 2 years anymore but it's been awhile and I've been saving so I'm definitely upgrading this year.

Back glass on my 12 Pro is cracked. So I guess depends on if either T-Mobile or Verizon (maybe switch) accepts that for a full trade in amount if I’m going to upgrade this year.
Is this an image of the iPhone 14 in Silver or is this a mockup of the 15?
The date is actually a very good guess, since Apple usually does not hold its iPhone event on the same week as Labor Day.
I think Apple was going USB-C with or without the EU. There have been rumors for a while (before the EU proposal) that they would switch. The timing is convenient, but the EU directive wasn't necessary to drop lightning.
First preordered iPhone since iPhone 6. I was on Pixel for a while and jumped on an iPhone 12 I found on swappa last year to test out iOS again and am sticking with it, so will be getting a 15 Pro and holding on to it for a few years. Very excited, just hope T-Mobile has decent enough promos for trade in.

I recorded two 8min 4k HDR videos for an event my girlfriend was performing it, and they were pushing 6gb. She needed them copied to her personal PC, doesn't own and iPhone and doesn't own a mac and waiting from them to upload to iCloud to copy them or until I got home with my mac is a giant hassle.
Yeah that’s right, it’s been years that Apple was talking about USB-C. It goes way back when the first lightning cable was released. That’s a really good point. Supposed understand the history of the lightning cable, understand that there was pros and cons with USB-C and thunder bolt or lightning. The problem is Apple should’ve made the transition way back when the iPhone 6 came out because apparently the Lightning cable was not the answer.
i know it’s still early to tell, but if the 6.1” iPhone 15 Pro has the big camera bump of the 14 Pro (or even bigger) that will discourage me from getting it.
If there’s any chance of getting a smaller iPhone, that will be on 2024, because the iPhones are getting bigger and the entire chip line (A17 & A18) will be more power efficient. A 5.6” or 5.8” iPhone would really be a dream made true.
Since I am mostly a stay at home, kind of gal, I don’t really need a top-notch Apple cell phone. What I always look forward to is the software for iPadOS. I always want to see if any improvements are made to Siri, and to see what new things I can do in safari and notes. And I’m always looking for new features in messages and photos.

The new iPhone 15 got to be a looker to draw fanboys and girls into upgrading for the 15. Great new colors would also help. Apple stock price is at stake! They already are down below $3 trillion market capital after the current earnings release.😱😬🤷
I want to go smaller. Have a 13 PM and may drop to smaller Pro but really, really want a Mini to complement my iPad Mini 6 I just bought.

Sadly, the periscope camera is only coming in the pro max. And that phone doesn’t fit on my pocket lol (not a fan of big phones).

The thing is, an iPhone X still gives a very similar iOS experience to the iPhone 14 Pro Max. And the iPhone X still works very well. But that doesn't mean there aren't reasons to want to upgrade. My 13 Pro works perfectly. I just want the bigger display and battery life. I am at a place where I spend a ton of time doing inpatient hospital rounds (and that won't change for a few years) at bedside where I need to access EMR/EHR results etc, so having a little extra screen space would be nice. Necessary, of course not, but a nice QOL difference for sure. I also want the larger battery for better battery life. And of course, I am looking forward to AoD, Dynamic Island, USB-C, a titanium construction, and the supposed camera upgrades. I think coming from my 13 Pro, for my wants, the 15 Pro Max will be a really nice upgrade.
It’s likely but we don’t know that for sure.
All the leakers have been getting things wrong in the last couple of years - even Kuo has got caught a couple of times and he was flawless! They’ve also released some last minute surprises no leaker got including the Dynamic Island last year.
