I have a 14 Pro, so will probably skip the 15.
I am at a 2 year cycle to renew my iPhone for some years now (IIRC since the iPhone 7 days). I wonder if most do the same?
I'm in the exact position (and mindset) as you. Got the 14 Pro on launch day, and can't see any reason so far to opt for the 15 -- though I'd appreciate finally getting USB-C charging.

first time I will try to resist and go on a two years cycle- mostly the huge hassle of moving all the 2FAs vs the rather minor benefits of the update

Another S release. I'm going to wait for the iPhone 16 or 18 to upgrade.
Looking at the render in the article which is based on leaked schematics of the iPhone 15, I have to agree. Its basically part 2 of the iPhone 14. This is probably for those still on a X to 11 iPhone. iPhone 11 users in fact could wait out a few more years considering you are gonna certainly get iOS 18 and 19 plus one year of security updates.

Still chugging along on my 8 Plus! Maybe THIS year (I say it every year) is the time to finally upgrade? Been starting to get the itch...
We still have an 8 Plus in our family, and it's definitely showing its age in everyday use. And you'll have to upgrade if you want to run iOS 17, which your current phone won't support. But you should be able to get a good deal on an iPhone 13 or 14 if you don't want to spring for the 15.
