Apple's iPhone 6 Plus Pre-Order Shipping Estimates Slip to 3-4 Weeks

Well here's hoping...

I actually was able to put my order through a little before 12AM PST on the ATT site and so far my order status is staying put at 10/2 - 10/13, it's showing as preparing for shipment which I thought was strange, figured it would show as pending since it won't actually be shipping for a least 2 1/2 weeks.

True, spoke to a manager and he told me no iPhone 6 Plus where expected to arrive on the island by the 19th. If the phone is available sometime during september/ october it would be better to cancel and just buy it at the store. But then what if no store will carry iPhone 6 Plus inventory. There are no Apple Stores in Puerto Rico. Any sugestion is appreciated!

Personally, I know a bunch of people that are upgrading from the 4 and 4S. I guess the 5 and 5s weren't enough for an upgrade. I think the screen size is luring a lot of people.

I thought the new Harry Potter ride (Universal Studios) queue was long (7 hours) I suspect the queue for the iPhone 6+ will make that look like a picnic.

At least with the Harry Potter ride you knew you'd get there eventually, but lining up might not get you a phone unless you're there early.

I think ATT did not read their customer's demand for 6+ and hence put in very small order for 6+. Big screen phone are supposed to be popular in Asia not in US. ATT has to make that forecast likely in 1Q this year when Apple put together the build plan for Iphone 6 and 6+. It is a very complicate dance as each carriers has their unique 6 and 6+ build and Apple has to juggle the needs of all the carriers around the globe and the supplier ability to ship part.. Tmobile is going to make out like a bandit if they have more 6+ available than ATT and Verizon. A lot of folks will switch carrier if the phone is available.
 
As someone who is thinking of queuing on launch day what is the better option

A. Going to the flag ship Apple store that will almost certainly have more stock but longer lines.

B. Going to a smaller Apple store with less stock but smaller lines.

Port sites mainly just serves static files, few transactions. Not that hard and I don't think any of them have 10M people hammering them at teh same time... Most probably have a less than a few thousand people at most (something that was doable arounad 1997.

I've actually looked at very detailed reviews on several sites and those reviews say 5S is better in several demonstrable way (color accuracy and white balance, low light performance and speed being the most significant ones). Its not just bias.

the S5 has a few better aspects, but the 5S overall is better. I didn'T say the S5 was crap btw; the 5S can better without the other one being bad. Its like saying a top of the line Canon is better than a top of the line Nikon, neither Cameras would be bad; its a relative statement.

Shooting in normal conditions, not too dark or too bright, subject not moving too fast, low contrast scene, both are very close.

Many of the prettiest shots you can make are done in difficult shooting conditions; that's why I think it is the best personally.

I find B to be the better option. Just be there early.
 
If you want the iPhone 6 +; start standing in line on the 16th at an Apple Store of your choice!

What about those of us that have no Apple Store Available, my pre-order is already done but what stores will carry iPhone 6 Plus Inventory if any other the Apple?

And I've looked at some reviews that put the S5's camera over the 5S. Point being is that it's all opinion based. The S5 and the 5S had and still have two of the best cameras on the market. Personally, I like both. Neither one is bad. You can't really go wrong with either one. I've seen pics taken with an S5 that put many a smartphone to absolute shame. And yeah again, the 5S takes great pics. Here's one right here that I took last year

I have used the Apple website for the last three releases and it's the first time I've managed to get one in the very first delivery batch. It's always arrived within the first two weeks of release though, so a 3-4 weeks dispatch (not delivery?) is pretty shoddy.

The case has shipped and the iPhone is still preparing for shipment, so hopefully being readied for delivery on Friday.

Feel good. I ordered at 3:10am EST, and my shipping date is somewhere in November. AT&T put through 3 charges, 1 for the phone, and 2x $1 charges...and it cockblocked my credit card. Because my CC company denied the charges out of concern, I think ATT put through an entirely new order for me once the CC freed up, which caused my shipment date to move back. When I first ordered, it said 14-21 business days. Saved the electronic receipt just to be safe. #IHatePreOrders #LostTimeLostSleepNoPhone

I'm not angry at all. If anything I'm just mocking all of you who are getting so mad about having to wait a little longer on your big expensive smartphones. If you're going to take your little first world problem over-seriously then expect a sardonic response.

t-mobile 128gb "black" 6 plus, originally slated for oct 1-6th, has just shipped, with a monday the 22nd estimated delivery.
ordered from apple at about 4:30am pacific on pre-order day.

ordered in person at a VZW store on 9/12 at 8AM
