Apple's iPhone Air Battery Pack Costs $99, Extends 27 Hour Battery to 40 Hours

I wonder if it will work with older iPhone models. I still have the original MagSafe battery pack.

Think back and think why it was that you used that battery pack .

That’s crazy. Your phone has to be leashed to an outlet for charging the battery pack? Who thought that was a great idea?

I don't know which is more useless, the Air or the battery pack that only fits it exclusively.

So glad I have my OG for the times when I just need a little top off vs a serious charge from one of my Ankers.

Cool. Mine's been fine, but I don't use beta software because I'm not a developer nor am I willing to be a non-paid tester.

Looking at the side by side comparisons, if I didn’t like taking Macro pictures so much, I’d be getting the Air. It’s just things like that and LiDAR that’s the main differences now.

Honestly, that disqualifies the Air for me. This design is just stupid.

The description on the product page says that you can charge small accessories via USB-C, so it must have a USB-C port, right?

I do have a battery pack. But the funny thing is, I have not used it even once. Never had problem getting through the day with my iPhone 13.

I do think it could be useful with the Air, considering it has a rather small internal battery.

Is the USB-C Port in the room with us right now? lol

I saw that that as well, but I do not see it anywhere on that pack. Unless it's on the side that attaches to the phone, in which case it won't be the full depth?

The Air can be used with other packs, to be fair. The Air also gets basically previous iPhone generation battery life but it's thinner.

What the page is saying is to use the iPhone's USB port to charge other devices, not the battery pack itself. It can export the power from the external pack to the iPhone and then to another device.

Why would I ever downgrade literally every specification from what I have now, especially when the Pro Max finally offers 2tb of storage?

...without having to use one of my battery packs.

My guess is you say the same about the popular MBA... why buy one when for a just a bit more you can get a MacBook Pro? Different people value different things. Not sure what's ridiculous.

I figured it would be on the bottom but yeah, if you zoom in it looks like there’s nothing there…
