No one skins them alive. Where do you people get this stuff from?Forget the "walk in the park" aspect of sick people who get off on watching living things suffer. What is the benefit of skinning an animal alive?

You are correct on some things, but don't forget there are times in history where Hindu's sacrificed cows and ate their meat. The modern reverence to cattle is more because if you own a cow you are considered wealthy in many parts of India. That's what I was told from several different people I've worked with and became confortable talking to about the subject over the years. (Yikes, doing the math it's decades now. 😣)You must be confused with some other country / culture. Hindu's, who make up a large population of the country believe cows are scared for many reasons. One of the main reasons is because a cow can keep a baby alive if the mother were to die during birth. This is one of the reasons why devoted hindu's will look at you very disgustedly if you disrespect a cow. It could be from calling it names to wanting to kill it and if you eat beef in front of a Hindu, you are pretty much disowned to them family or not.

There isn’t any, in my view, none whatsoever. Only unstable evil oxygen thief’s do such things.Forget the "walk in the park" aspect of sick people who get off on watching living things suffer. What is the benefit of skinning an animal alive?
Your post does not make the point you think it’s making. Apple sources its (real) leather from Italy. That’s because your Andar and Nomad cases are real leather and the last several years of Apple cases are “vegan leather”. Ironically your second point contradicts your first.
Pleather has never been environmentally friendly, even the 1 company using natural rubber is contributing to deforestation… 🙁
And yet people still eat cow meat in India. Not everyone there is a fundamentalist Hindu, and like many religions some Hindus in name only eat cow meat… 😉You must be confused with some other country / culture. It all needs to be waterproofed and in order to do that they use plastic, even Pinatex. Not every vegan leather is suitable for tougher applications like a phone case. That’s simply wrong. Vegan leather can be made e.g. from plant based materials, mushroom/fungus materials, leftovers from the food industry and many more. Please do a proper research before commenting fake facts.
Unfortunately it’s a very common practice outside the EU and US. Not cows obviously. No one skins them alive. Where do you people get this stuff from?
Please provide proof that it’s a very common practice outside the EU & US to skin animals alive to get their hide (not fur). Aside from that, this discussion has been about Apple Cow Leather Cases where the leather is sourced from the EU. Thanks!Unfortunately it’s a very common practice outside the EU and US. Because it's the single most destructive thing we're doing to the environment, and there's no way our planet can sustain it. Not to mention that animals have emotions and feel pain. Or that eating them is terrible for your health. Why on earth would I want the cattle industry to lose profitability? I love steak, and so do billions of other people. You miserable people are trying to kill the livelihood of millions of people and it’s sick.
It's willful ignorance to say that the dead animal on your plate was not tortured on its way there. They're raped, mutilated, held against their will in inhumane conditions, pushed through a slaughterhouse, and then electrocuted or gassed and ultimately dismembered... frequently while still alive.Again, animals are not being tortured and skinned alive in the civilized world. It would be financial suicide for any business offering products made from "skinned alive" animals.
Prove it please. Random statements of supposed facts just makes people stupid IMHO.Because it's the single most destructive thing we're doing to the environment, and there's no way our planet can sustain it. I'm not delusional enough to think that a forum post will prove or convince anybody of anything. To truly be convinced, you have to do the research yourself. If you're curious, you can find a lot of information out there. A few great movies that are good starting points: The Gamechangers, Earthlings, Dominion, A Life on Our Planet, What the Health?, Forks Over Knives...Prove it please. That’s not proof. What you take away from movies (entertainment) is speculation. If one makes a statement as a fact “cows are the worst polluters of all to environmental warming” prove it with a link to a scientific paper that makes that argument and in essence proves it. Otherwise just say that it’s your opinion… Opinions ≠ Facts. 🐮I'm not delusional enough to think that a forum post will prove or convince anybody of anything. They don’t look like they will wear well from this photo and I prefer to have a seamless exterior. The price Apple charges for their premium case offering might be difficult for this item.An updated schematics of the new iPhone 15 similar leather series of cases show new colors. It has also been reported that it will be a material similar to polishing cloth, the feeling seems to be very similar.

I guess I am one of the few people who ask why we need a case at all. If Apple designed them so that they did not self destruct when dropped, a case would not be necessary. If the cases have a texture they will pick up dirt very easily and look pretty grubby after a relatively short time.
However I resent having to buy a case to make the phone survive in our normal world. Screen protectors and cases are de rigor these days and only because the phones are very badly designed. We see beautiful rendered pictures of a phone we will never see, because the moment you drop it, it ceases to function. So we protect it.
Just give me a phone that works as it is in the normal world and let me decide whether I want to change its appearance rather than you have to change its appearance in order to use it. I do not remember having to put my Motorola Razer into a case. It survived the normal rigors of use, something that cannot be said of the iPhone and other phones like the Samsung Galaxy S23 series. I find this extremely frustrating and counter intuitive.
I am not really criticizing the quality of the iPhone so much as its design, which, to me, is a different issue. The iPhone is very well built but the design is intrinsically flawed for the use case and building from glass front and back with polished aluminum or stainless steel chassis means that it is very easily damaged as delivered to the customer. This is a device that spends its life in your hand or pocket or purse and is easily dropped (as demonstrated by at least two of our close friends who regularly put them down on a table, knock them off and have to make a trip to Apple to replace the screen since it is smashed, not just cracked: we live in Austin, TX where houses often have tile floors!!).What are your issues with the build quality of the iPhone? I've seen plenty of people with shattered screens, shattered camera glass, messed up sides and their phone still functions. The iPhone actually has one of the best screen and digitizers and this has been tested in proven. I've seen people bring phones into apple, best buy, ubreakifix, etc that are completely destroying but the touch screen is working fine and they put a cheap plastic screen protector over it and kept using it until they had the money to replace the screen.
You dont have to use a case with an iPhone, especially the latest ones with the stainless steel band and sapphire infused screen. Plenty of people on these forums are anti case and almost anti screen protector and im sure they phones look like new.
Ive had no case on several of my iPhones for pretty much their entire life and they all held up well. The only thing I will always put on my phone is a glass screen protector because I like to keep my screen clean AND since I put my phone face down, I dont trust whatever surface im putting my phone on and would rather have a .02-.03mm glass screen protector on it.
