Of course Apple removed the negative reviews. They know how ugly it is too but just don't want to be reminded that often.

You seem fairly confident you know Apple intentionally removed the reviews. Can you provide evidence how you know this?

Your post is short sighted and ignorance is becoming of you that you fail to understand what else that occurs on that site besides Buzz Aldrin and Obama links.

Since you got tired of copying and pasting Stevie, allow me to also contribute that Reddit also has uncensored-unsupervised links that contain explicit and harmful material posted on a daily basis that goes without moderation, let alone anyone can post malicious links that have NO relevancy to the actual topic. Diatribes occur, but the garbage posted on that site is terrible. It's comparable to Craigslist. But I wouldn't expect you to have an understanding of the forum rules, which hasn't proven anything other than you posting a "Few links."

Salt water evaporation ponds. Sea water is allowed into the ponds where it then evaporates, leaving behind salt. Eventually, the salt is dug up, cleaned, and sold to you in the grocery store.

Thanks, didn't know that. In my country we dig deep into mountains to get our salt :)

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I think the LG is awesome and a worthy replacement for the Thunderbolt Display which incidentally was LG under the skin.

"Because Apple didn't delete the reviews, the premise behind the original reddit post is flawed."

Reddit is garbage. I wouldn't trust the junk on that site for anything.
I'm sure you trust greater newsworthy sites such as Yahoo News, CNN, MSN and Fox News...those users that comment on stories are probably the smartest people on the planet...

I will give Apple credit on this one, could just have been a website glitch. Not sure why people would think Apple would be so protective of some other company's reputation, Apple really has nothing invested in selling a 3rd party product so if LG screwed up then they screwed up.

Had it been a brand new Apple Cinema Display product that was full of flaws then I could see Apple Trumping the facts about it.
Unfortunately this is the product Apple pushed as the replacement to the dead Cinema Display line(close collaboration between the 2 companies). I could understand why they would want to censor reviews. I have never had this problem with anything I've bought from Apple so I'm just going to chalk it up to a bug.

Bring a brand new Apple Thunderbolt Display 24-inch with Thunderbolt 3 (40 Gbps) and USB 3.1 Type-C (reversible) Generation 2 (10 Gbps) ports.
I'd actually like to see a 24" 16:10 Retina iMac. 24" is my favorite monitor size from both a usage standpoint and as a great value.

Meanwhile the LG 5k display still doesn't show up in my country's online store (searching for it makes the LG 5k suggestion but search results from the store then have nothing to do with any display).

While I'm a little sad that I still have to wait, also a big thanks to all doing the beta-testing for us outside the US :)

This is one of those products you can literally LOOK at and determine it is a POS.

There is ZERO thought into it's design, so bad, that it replicates a 90's Dell monitor.

Flowing from there you can already be certain it's internals and the way it functions are of a "who gives a chit" attitude.

There was absolutely no thought put into this other than "crank out a 5k monitor, don't care".

Try not to forget it's censoring of topics and catering to MSM and globalist agendas as well as mods going back and editing comments to make users look in a different light.

There's some good stuff on there but a massive amount of dross. Some seem to post stuff just for the sake of it. It's like twitter but with more words.

WHAT!?!?!?!?!:eek::eek::eek: Are you telling me that there was this option and I have never known about it for 9 years?

Kind of sad for Apple, a company that prides itself in the user experience, that things like this stay hidden from users for years. There are various cool features that are very difficult to discover in every OS out there, just pointing out this is a pride area for Apple. Mobile is probably the worst because nothing comes with a manual and most apps have no help system. You get to discover if a 3D press works and in what situations. Can you swipe to delete? What other shortcuts are available in the app? I bet a lot of things go undiscovered by a majority of users.

One of the worst offenders is Interface Builder which is part of Xcode. All sorts of odd click here and hold these keys to make things work. Finding out how to use all this magic involves lots of web searches.

All reviews were hidden eh? Just like the battery estimated time remaining has never been visible.

We've always been at war with Eastasia.

That never happened. Read this article.
I said I doubt Apple did but I could understand why, if Apple had. Thanks for the link but I had already come to the conclusion they didn't censor any reviews.

Different note, Apple should make app updates require more then text fixes. All that does is release another version, with no real differences, just to reset the reviews. I'm looking at you NIANTIC

This is the most uninspiring and generic looking monitor ever.
Ugly as sin.
I wouldn't buy it if I were you then.

I was a little nervous about ordering this monitor because of some bad reviews. I got mine today, plugged it in, plugged in my tMBP 2016 via the provided USB-C cable and it all worked perfectly. No issues with flicking, buzzing, crashing, etc. I can't believe how nice the screen is though. I thought my MBP screen was crystal clear, but this thing is amazing.

The sheer ugliness of that display speaks louder than words. Johnny Ive probably removes those negative reviews himself each time he cringes over the foolishness of Apple having allow a partner like LG to have released that design-abomination. And to those of you who think this display actually looks nice, to what are you comparing? To Apple products? Hah! This is not an Apple-designed product and it shows, despite how much "influence" Apple had in its feature set. You would think that will all the emphasize Apple puts on form over function that they never would have put their stamp of approval on something that looks this bad. Matte borders and glossy screen... Top bezel disproportionately larger than bezels on other sides... And that stand... The high-quality LCD matters little when the overall design looks this bad.
