The cliffhanger at the end of season 1 felt natural and kept me genuinely interested in the show and I was super excited for season 2. Not sure what you’re talking about. Season two was brilliant, I couldn’t hope for a better sequel to season one and it makes me looking forward even more to the next season.

I guess when the Apple TV+ service is losing $1 billion per year you need to resort to cheap gimmicks to promote the shows whenever and wherever you can.

I think you might be looking at it the wrong way… the content has to come from some place it’s not like they’re churning out reality tv, and could this not be a value add proposition?

Honestly? Apple continues to present itself as an innovative device manufacturer. And not as a funny media company. They desperately want to maintain a façade of perfection. See the lack of apology regarding Siri and Apple Intelligence.

But then such a "humorous" advertisement for a TV SERIES ON THEIR OWN SUBSCRIPTION.

This is as uncharacteristically Apple as the debacle surrounding AI.

I saw a press release that hand written apologies have been sent out… did you not get yours?

The season 2 finale felt forced and the whole season like a waste of time - keeping fans barely engaged and then hitting us with another, forced cliffhanger to coerce us into watching a third season. Sadly, I’m likely out on season 3 - release it or not, I’m indifferent. You lost me on this one, Apple.

It felt to me like they filmed two endings - the happy ending one we wanted that would have felt natural and was ready for if the show wasn't renewed for season 3 - and the ending that we got because the show has been renewed for season 3 and so they need some ongoing conflict.

Granted, there's lots of interesting little threads they got started with near the end of season 2... we've got some new questions about the relationships in the Egan family...

Well before the end of season 1 it felt to me like there was enough going on the ending it in less than three seasons would rush the story too much. Still feels like three is probably the right number.

I know what you mean. S1 ending was suchhh a twist and I was so intrigued.

S2 idk it just didn’t give me the same feeling throughout. and the ending I was like… “really?”… lol
