Because the Max and Pro variants might be only a month out from release. So they might take pre-orders but they will still call it a sneak peek at early benchmarks. Or maybe they'll treat it more like they did with the new iPhone's camera Deep Fusion which was a sneak peek at upcoming advanced camera features. Apple creates the narrative so they can get away with labeling almost anything a "peek" into the future products or features. It won't be something as big as an AR or VR headset because let's face it, past sneak peeks at future new hardware products like trash can Mac Pro and Air Power have not gone well for them. Why would they release a new Mac Pro and then immediately preview the next variant...?
Have you never heard of the Osbourne Effect...?!?
its the Mac Pro + iMac Pro I think as they are the performance models and the ones that are missing in the lineup. The cheeky use of "peek" instead of "peak" tells me that they're going to preview a future product — a sneak peek of something they're working on. The colorful AR logo Apple created gives that illusion. Perhaps we'll get a preview of the AR glasses? Or perhaps since it's paired with "performance" a look at the future Mac Pro. This would be in addition to the aforementioned products (iPhone SE, iPad Air, 13" MacBook Pro).
not true!!How's the koolaid? Apple only allowing this to be viewed on iOS devices will fuel the belief that iOS devices have something special that lets them do AR.
Agree that this is either a first look at Apple's AR glasses or new bigger iMacs... or iPads Air (although I hope not as that would be very boring by comparison)The cheeky use of "peek" instead of "peak" tells me that they're going to preview a future product — a sneak peek of something they're working on. Tasty 🙂 I don’t think it’s anything special, just more that Google likely doesn’t want to support .reality files on Android. I’d imagine a third party could create a player if they wanted, though. How's the koolaid? Interesting? or Annoying? 🙂When AR glasses reaches this level it might be interesting. 😎
Just think of what you dream about after that all day of that. 😀Interesting? or Annoying? 🙂
That's actually a good point -The color scheme here matches Apple's usual "Macintosh Rainbow" with the exception of green.Longshot, but could the lack of green have to do with green screens, and green not showing in green screen scenarios?
I can imagine my brain going, “You know what? I got nothing! Like, what do I do to top that, just static? Yeah, I’m just gonna do static.”Just think of what you dream about after that all day of that. 😀

• protrude slightly so as to be just visible: his socks were so full of holes his toes peeked through.I totally get that -It's very, very seldom that Apple launches anything truly exciting, in a new product category or a new product altogether that isn't already sold by another brand.I used to get really excited about these events, blocking out time on my work calendar so I could be at my desk and watch the live stream. 🙂 Now I usually wait until they're over and then read the summary here or at Engadget.
I'm always interested in new Mac hardware; less so the phones, anymore.

Not as good as I remember, but still better than the generic. How's the koolaid?

The other part, at least for me, was observing Steve’s nuances, and as great as Tim is, he doesn’t have the energy of a founder. If Steve was Giotto then Tim is Alegria.I totally get that -It's very, very seldom that Apple launches anything truly exciting, in a new product category or a new product altogether that isn't already sold by another brand.
My biggest hope for Apple's 2022 is Apple AR glasses and that it's truly a new, market-leading AR experience.
