When I got my first Mac I experienced screengate where the Retina display became delaminated.
I wanted to make sure nothing happened to the screen so I got some MagicFiber clothes from Amazon.
Also, cleaning instructions for Macs and iPhones were so hard to find pre-Covid. The only thing that sounded safe to use was water.
I am glad that Apple is actually providing more guidance on cleaning their products and a cleaning clothe to go with it.

I presently use Whoosh! and Whoosh! microfiber clothes. It’s great.

Checked the compatibility list on the Apple Store app.
It listed the original iPhone, but not the 3G, 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, 5C, or 5S. 🤔 🤣

Apple should be giving a pair of polishing cloth for free on purchase of Apple laptop/ iMac/ Apple monitor/ iPhone (that's downright logical). Apple's motto used to be "Think Different" now they are like any other greedy corporate. Apple should change their motto from "Think Different" to "Another Brick in the Wall" or "Money", btw both are great songs by Pink Floyd.

Over the past week on the site, I've been referred to as a "fool", "brain dead", "brainless", someone who needs "help" and felt "sad" for all due to making a few purchases. Imagine caring that much about how other people spend their money.

I'll enjoy my purchases, but it is pretty funny.

You'll enjoy it of course because Apple sold you a feeling, which is not something that's actually very useful for $20. So yeah, you are a fool if you really bought this.

People can post their silly jokes, but real people sincerely appreciate products such as Apple Polishing Cloth because they understand the material difference it will make to their lives.

It's not just a cloth. Polishing Cloth has been engineered to preserve and protect your investment. $19 is a minuscule investment to ensure your premium-quality Apple displays remain in top condition.
This is the only forum on the internet where this comment could be posted and it’s a legit toss-up whether it’s a joke or not.

I’m so glad I got my order in yesterday. Mine arrives next week.

I won’t lie I got more excited about this cloth than the new MacBooks and I had fully intended on buying a new 14” Pro but the cloth wowed me more.

I’d been waiting for years for apple to start selling these. The cloths they used to throw in the box for free were so good that I still use them daily but they’re well worn by now. No third party has made a cloth as good.
I'll praise the old ones, they were great, I still use mine, but I was buying a new MacBook Pro each year when they were included, so I had a pack of them.

However, I will say it's a little cheesy that Apple isn't including them with the 14" and 16" machines.

As per pricing, I think they're still a better value than the iPod Mini socks. They were $29 for 5 socks in 2004.

Tell me your society has grown last-days-of-Rome-decadent without telling me your society has grown last-days-of-Rome-decadent.

I know the point you’re trying to make but it’s pretty sad if the most decadent thing we can do is polishing clothes.

……So yeah, you are a fool if you really bought this.
I bought one. Once they’re back in stock, I’ll probably pick up at least three more _if_ the quality is good.

The good news is, we all have choices of how we choose to use our finances and some of us are more fortunate where we can afford the little things in life. You should try one, it might change your perspective.

I’m sorry. For as much as Apple is charging for their MacBooks…those greedy suckers could just include a cloth in each box.
No need to apologize. This is an optional accessory. If they were included with the MacBook, you’re still paying for it one way or the other. Apple isn’t forcing this product on anyone, as you can purchase your own third-party cloth. For those who want one, we choose to support those ‘greedy suckers’, because it’s our money.

Where did you find this info? I cannot find it anywhere. Too small for my needs.
I just got out a ruler and measured the one I have. I fold it in half and clean the screen by just wiping across and up and down...no problem.....works well:)

A million jokes will be made..... but do people know if this was actually available yesterday for earlier shipping. Like in October? I remember it already being at the end of November yesterday when people first started talking about it. If not, feels like a filler post to get some eyeballs and commenting.
It saw that it was available minutes after the Apple store came back online but I'm not sure about the shipping date timeframe since my custom order pushed out to 3-4 weeks to begin with.
