It saw that it was available minutes after the Apple store came back online but I'm not sure about the shipping date timeframe since my custom order pushed out to 3-4 weeks to begin with.
Apple under-promises—>Over-delivers. That’s been their motto for years, even though they give you a further projected date, you’ll likely receive it sooner than the estimate time. But then again, given supplier constraints with logistics that’s affecting almost every vendor, it might be variable.

I found a better deal as the cloth I am getting has a notch and is better suited for the MBP

A million jokes will be made..... but do people know if this was actually available yesterday for earlier shipping. Like in October? I remember it already being at the end of November yesterday when people first started talking about it. If not, feels like a filler post to get some eyeballs and commenting.
And how many were there to start with? Having 2 and selling out is not near as impressive as having 1,000,000 and selling out.

It not only polishes your computer, it polishes you off… (the DNA you leave on the computer screen)

Oh, that irresistible pull of the Polishing Cloth! 😋 While Apple seem to have underestimated its wild success with the US public, true Polishing Cloth affectionados can take a trip to Europe where this little marvel can still be found around 18-26 November. Hurry, for it is so soft and awesome! /s

Slap an Apple logo and the sheep would buy anything.

Seriously, 19$ for a small cloth? I mean yayy for my stock investment, but it really shows the state of mind people are in.

Next, no warranty if you cleaned your display with 3rd party cloths.

Well I wanted one so badly I bought a new Volvo car as it came with the same cloth to clean the screen in the middle 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

I also went for the upgrade that added a clear sealable bag to stop it getting dirty....overall cost $95k 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

I was just telling a friend yesterday that, back when I got a 3rd generation iPod in 2003, it came with (words that would never be associated with Apple today) a dock, an attachable remote, a carry case with belt clip-on, and extra ear cushions along with the device, charging cable, power adapter, and earbuds. It's almost disgraceful that they actually sell this rag for $19, and am surprised that they already sold all the twenty five that they produced.
It was also $500 in 2003 money, you just pay everything separately these days. But none the less, I get your point! 👍

And the $700 Mac Pro Wheels kit is still around.

Brilliant move by apple.

Despite all the ridicule, they'll still probably sell a million units a year; when you consider that it's nearly entirely profit, that's another 20M or so to their bottom line.

I'm pretty sure there's a product manager tasked with combing through their spare parts & accessories list to work out what else they could sell directly for a huge markup.
For a second I thought even if apple prices this at $99 people are gonna still buy this like crazy despite it might be just the damn same $5 cloth you can get from target right now (in stock) and have more Color options.

As a shareholder of Apple, I am very happy. It would be even better if Apple also sells the isopropyl alcohol solution as a bundle.
Oh yeah, only $199 for a pack of two. Apple certified cleaning solution. Using any other solution cleaning your device will instantly void device warranty and counts as accidental damage on AppleCare.

Wow, how many did they have in stock? 20??
They polled Mac sites and found that 99% of the forum members hated it, so they only produced a few.

Then reality kicked in and everyone actually wants it.

I paid $10 for a polishing cloth and it's not even original....
