Based on information we've gathered it seems the $899 product that has appeared on Apple's product lists is likely an LED Apple Cinema Display and not a low-end MacBook.

AppleInsider also confirms that new displays with a DisplayPort connector and MagSafe adapters. The rumor site also also believes the $899 product is likely a 24" Cinema Display.

This throws into doubt the remainder of the analysis for the part numbers that were leaked.

Seriously? Ugh...

Who cares a darn about the displays? We WANT NOTEBOOKS!

AppleInsider says it's a display AND a MacBook. So arn, why say display and NOT a MacBook?

Arn!!

Pretty expensive display. I'll take a 24" display from HP for $499, by someone who's got a proven record in the display business.

I hope those price points are wrong, or missing some numbers then.

Apple needs a cheaper MacBook to (really) compete nowadays...

All great sites!

wow. i was really hoping for a tablet. let's hope that's what it is and not a display. $899 for a 24"? i have an acer that i bought for $299

One says there won't be a Macbook announcement tomorrow. One says there'll be three Macbooks ($899 & $1299 & $1599). Another says only two Macbooks ($1299 & $1599)...

I am all confused. I should better sleep now and wake up just after the event tomorrow.

It makes as much sense as any of the other rumors. 😛 A portable notebook with the ability to connect to a bigger display when you're at home or in the office. I'd buy it. :apple:

Make it an OLED display, at that price point using an H-IPS panel standard and you'll dominate the market.

Okay, now back to reality.
