I would have been happy to keep the 64Gig on the lower end models and have 128 or even 256 for the upper end models. I am simple that way...especially at these prices!!!
I have a feeling soon you're gonna! I mean, where does it stop? They're getting bigger every year. A phone is a on-the-go thing. It should be small and compact by definition. What's the point if it can't fit into your pocket? Might as well carry an iPad mini in your purse is what I'm saying.
I agree that a basic phone should fit in your pocket. A Smart Phone is more than just a phone and the screen size should be big enough to handle the tasks that people want it to. Unfortunately, the shopping public has decided that a 4" screen is too small to handle those tasks.
To those ends, I've had a fleeting idea about moving back to a flip phone and a cellular iPad. But I quickly discarded the thought.
I've thought the same for Pro+. It rolls off the tongue nicely with the alliteration. I wasn't a fan of Max when they unveiled it last year. Pretty stupid to get rid of the Plus branding.
While I've always liked that approach, that's not how the iPhone sales. It's their bread and butter and people see a new number and get out their wallets. It's how people know it's the newest one. I know, Macs and iPads don't really do that, but the iPhone is kind of a different beast and they don't want to risk it. Not worth it for them. Too much of a downside, but eventually the numbers are going to get ridiculous.
The 5.8 has been the same size for 3 years and the 6.5 is on its 2nd year of its size. A phone isn’t just used for on the go. The market has changed where people like phones bigger than 4 inches. Apple has made a good choice having a 4.7, 5.8, 6.1 and 6.5 inch phone for people to choose from. I highly doubt Apple will go back to 4 inch phones. My XS Max fits comfortably in any pocket of my pants. I don’t carry it in my purse but my pocket.
Never read such whining in all my life. If you don't like it get something else by another phone producer. Good grief.
4.7 in 2015, 5.5 in 2016, 5.8 was introduced in 2017 so thats 2 years, then the year after 6.1 and 6.5 one after another.
Bigger every year. 4.7 is fine but I'm afraid they're gonna discontinue that and only make 5inch+ next year onwards
I had a 5.5inch 7+ for a while and that was so huge I couldnt get used to it (and I have big hands). 6.5 is a joke.

I would but theres no android phones below 5 inches either. Also iOS is much better so its hard to switch over.

What I mean by 3 years is I counted X as year 1, XS year 2 and the 11 as year 3 for the 5.8 inch phones.
