One interesting observation: the Jet Black iPhone 7 is no longer limited to higher storage tiers. It can be purchased for $549 (32GB).
WOW, iPhone X in Canada is $1,319.00 + 15% HST = $1,517.00 and that does not include AppleCare. I guess at this price I'm out.
They seem to be able to do it just fine with android phones where there are a wide variety of similarly featured and priced models.Crazy levels of fragmentation
I follow apple news fairly closely and even I can't get my head around all the different options and price points. How is Joe public off the street going into an Apple store going to choose amongst all those mid tier options?
The 6s is still the best deal. Features on 7, 8 and X aren't really compelling enough.
well the geekbench scores allow us to compare the processing power against a common baseline. The 7 plus scores at around 3300 while the fastest macbook air is at around 3500. I guess the iPhone X would easily beat that.you are kidding right ?
i believe it is! Apple's doing a lot of that today (iPad Pro etc).Is it me or is this a price hike of $50?
The only 2 reasons someone would buy iPhone X is to show off or has no other major device to work with so it uses only iPhone for everything, only then I can somehow justify the pricing.. damn Apple's greediness.
No they don't. That's the whole point. People might know about the Galaxy S8 or Note 8 but beyond that the myriad android options are confusing to many. People just pick whatever their carrier offers that is in their price range and has name recognitionThey seem to be able to do it just fine with android phones where there are a wide variety of similarly featured and priced models.
The same here, 6S+ is still doing the job that Apple lacks innovation to move forward![]()
And that is what they will do with the iPhone, they will go in and look at the one in their price range and possibly get upsold a couple hundred dollars if there is a good salesperson that they are talking to.People just pick whatever their carrier offers that is in their price range and has name recognition
I think a lot of people will default to the iPhone 8 ... because the X is too pricy.
Still at these prices I'm seriously reconsidering an Android phone.

FaceID is worth the extra $.
They should discontinue the 6 and 7 since the 8 is basically the same as the other two. This is just confusing people.

I was under the impression that Apple financing was the sticker price divided by 24? Has it changed with this new round of phone?
Why? It's slower than Touch ID, less flexible when it comes to unlocking your device from various angles..
If its off to the side I cant just press home to unlock it.
If I'm in bed and just wanna unlock it quickly I need to pick it up now and face it.
It takes longer to unlock your device.
The whole reason apple worked so hard to try and sell people on FaceID is because they know it is inferior when it comes to speed and convenience and couldnt make Touch ID work.
FaceID is worth the extra $.
