Not. The 6 and 7 can be cheaper because they have recouped development costs. The 8 and X have new processors.
Too bad the processor speed barely matters when iOS has endless input blocking delays.

The only 2 reasons someone would buy iPhone X is to show off or has no other major device to work with so it uses only iPhone for everything, only then I can somehow justify the pricing.. damn Apple's greediness.
I’ll be getting the X to send animated turd emoji messages!
These ARE computers... don't be fooled with the name iPhone.
What craziness are we living in where you can buy a MacBook Air for the same price as a phone?
You mean Nov, Dec or beyond.Easy choice. Wait til oct to get the X.
Are you really buying this? I don't.. epic fail I sense from a mile..
Easy choice. Wait til oct to get the X.
I agree with you to a point. I understand miniaturization is expensive, but let's not pretend like Apple doesn't pad the margins excessively these days compared to other companies doing the same or in some cases have been doing the same prior to the X.
This is very fair pricing, to be honest. I'm also happy to see Apple keep older generation phones in stock for people who can't afford the latest and greatest. I love that they did that.
They are continuing to rip off Canadians though. Our dollar is at 80 cents US and the phones are all overpriced by $50-$80 each after currency conversion. The iPhone SE should be $425 CDN, but it's being sold for $469 CDN.
You mean Nov, Dec or beyond.
They look the same, internals are different, we have come to the stage where looks matter the most, 2013 MBP was same as 2015 ?They should discontinue the 6 and 7 since the 8 is basically the same as the other two. This is just confusing people.
You know, the most exciting thing about this production was the first 2 minutes, when the lights were off, and we heard Steve Jobs over the PA. I go back to Jobs' announcing the original iPhone 10 years ago, and the contrast is absolutely stark. Yes, the iPhone X is a nice device with lots of geegaws and ooh-lalas, but Phil just somehow didn't connect to me in a way to make me want to spend a thousand dollars on this phone. You could tell, even the Apple fans in the audience was looking desperately for reasons to cheer. Onward.

SE is the best deal. The 6s is still the best deal. Features on 7, 8 and X aren't really compelling enough.
Too much product fragmentation. SE, 6S, 7, 8, X ???? Maybe if they didn't make so many different models, we could get an X before November.

I guess if you're looking at it purely from a price standpoint... otherwise, feature-wise, it's the worst deal.SE is the best deal.
If it makes you feel any better, they are ripping off people in the eu a lot worse. The SE is at 419eur, which at the moment comes to 501 usd ...This is very fair pricing, to be honest. I'm also happy to see Apple keep older generation phones in stock for people who can't afford the latest and greatest. I love that they did that.
