Unless a 27" iMac is considerably cheaper than a Mac Mini or Mac Studio or with a Studio Display, at this point it seems like it would be a "what for?" product. Unless the prosumer user base is really demanding an all in one, but sorta doubt it.
If it is just an M1 or M2, it could be considerably cheaper. If it is an M1 Pro, Max, or Ultra, then it likely wouldn’t be.

I would like a 32" iMac Pro using the new iMac design language, but in Space Gray with black, thin, bezels, coordinating keyboard and trackpad, and a (tastefully sized) Apple logo placed on the chin, where it ought to be (if there is a chin, of course).

I could go for that. Even if was "just" around 5K (not 6K like the XDR) it could look great. I got an LG 32" 4K to go with my new M1 Mini. With the tiny bezels the whole thing is not much bigger than my 27" iMac. Really digging the 32" size — seems normal now.
